Greetings all,
Not sure if this is the right place or not, but figured I would start here.

I'm looking for a set of D12's that only have the D^ markings one them (Each Die has 1-6 twice on it)

I know they make them as I have seen them, but am having trouble finding them to buy.

Anyone have a lead on where I can find them?

That would be the ones! Thank you very much!

Our group has all but banned those, as they roll suspiciously well. I think we've figured out why, basically the face size on the D12 is much smaller, and when removing six pips worth of material, shifts the weight balance too much compared to a D6.

We watched a local guy run them for several games and his rolling was extremely suspiciously good.

They're usually used for board games / RPGs / etc I think, but I absolutely love them for that, and the creator is awesome!

As an aside, the most biased set of dice I've personally owned was a GW brick from back in the day (biased towards the 2 / 5 axis, noticeable since I had an army full of 5+ saves ). I haven't had any issues with my Doublesix Dice.

Wait, the DoubleSix dice are bad? Crap, I've actually used them in games; they seemed fairly average to me. I didn't feel like any results were suspiciously too good. Maybe the ones you've seen were a bad batch? I figured they were actually BETTER to use, because with more sides, the randomization felt more legit. I thought I was using dice that were more fair than traditional D6s. Damn.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Timetowaste, please don't let that be your takeaway from this thread lol. Elbows had issues, but mine have been absolutely fantastic. I used them sometimes in games of Warmahordes and had no issues and people actually liked that they were different. It's all up to you and your group when it comes to custom dice!

I'm not bashing the dice, but our local experience has simply been bad, or at the very least it raised numerous eyebrows. When I say suspicious I mean going a whole game with an exceptionally small number of failures, making 9/10 4+ saves in a single roll, etc.

Could be the guy, could be bad dice, or a bad batch, or could be extraordinary luck. It just happened enough to put us off playing against non-D6 dice for the game. Again, if you like them and your opponents don't care - go nuts.

May I ask... what would these dice be used for? Would a D6 not just do the job?

I think it is mainly that a d12 shaped die rolls better, so you are less likely to have a die hit the table and slide on the same facing.

They sure as heck look neat, and any instance of the dice consistently rolling hot could probably be solves with a good dice tower or tray... But at that point you may as well just stick to d6's.

The only thing I see with the dice is that they don't really look all that square in the pictures. Is that just the pictures that make them look a bit off, or are they a bit funky with their shape?
