Does anyone have any information on the planetary defense forces or personal guard of knightly houses. I can’t imagine they don’t exist but I cannot find anything on them. Specifically I’m looking for information on House terryn

far as I know nothings been written, but we can make some guesses.

the house guard would certainly be effectivly Imperial Guard, They'd likely not be heavy on tanks etc (because a Lemen Russ is less critical when you know a Knight Paladin) but I suspect would likely be heavily mechanized so they can keep pace with the knights. So chances are infantry in APCs and IFVs

Back in the days of Titan Legions (game) Knight Household cards could take any Imperial Guard or Tech-Guard (Skitarii) cards they liked to represent forces from their homeworld - if the Adeptus Mechanicus are coming and asking you to support their Titan Legions you can pretty much ask them for anything you want to help you do so, so it would largely be up to the whim of the individual lord.

I'm building a knight force with support.

I'm thinking knights with a support force of priests, crusaders, some tech priests, but otherwise lots of infantry squads and some rough riders. All in a pseudo medieval styles. There is evidence that knights can come from already feudal worlds which are perhaps agri worlds which supply food out, but are otherwise technologically backward. The mechanicum then gives knights to the strongest houses to ensure the tithes are paid.
I'd expect those knight houses will be like historical feudal kingdoms or dukes etc and that includes serfs and peasants. The imperium cares little for local governments as long as it gets it tithes delivered.
