So, I'm starting out at square one on HH. I know absolutely nothing about the rules or how to build armies. I'm a big World Eaters fan, so I had to get the Angron model. If I used only the Betrayal at Calth models and the Angron model, would I have enough to build a starting HH army?

Thanks in advance

A starting army yeah. You may want to get more legionaries and world eaters tend to favour the chainaxe and pistol combo, which is a little harder to come by.

I recommend heading over to the Heresy 30k forum and checking out some of the armies there.

Buy a bunch of these, and sling them on your tactical marines' waists:

It's definitely a start, and you'll want to use basically everything in the BAC box - the box itself contains somewhere in the region of 1000pts, if I recall? You could definitely start playing Zone Mortalis, etc. with that sized of army.

Full-sized games of 30K tend to be around 3000pts, and BAC + Angron will be about 1500ptsish? From there, the world's your oyster and you could get Legion Specific Terminators, a Spartan Assault Tank to send Angron forward in, some air support like a Lightning, Storm Eagle or Fire Raptor. You'll definitely want a bunch of anti-tank in there as well.

As long as you pick up some chainaxes, there's no reason you don't have enough to get started painting and playing though.

If you set your army up using pride of the legion or primarch’s chosen rites of war betrayal of calth will give you about 1350 and Angron another 400pts.
Some of the things you need to consider with the WE’s is they need to get in close combat and marching across the battlefield although nice and thematic is not going to cut it against armies that sit back and shoot. I run my World Eaters usually 3 units in dreadclaw drop pods and 1 Termite that gets me 6 units in my opponents face on turn 1 with 3-4 units charging turn 2. They are a great army to play but do need help getting in your opponents face. You could get some plastic drop pods and run orbital assault rite of war.

If your doing world eaters look at anvil industries or a similar 3rd party site to get melee arms and chain axes.

Doing it with fw weapon packs is ruinous.
