Let's say I am playing a game where I am supposed to have up to 3 tactical objective cards each turn.
I pick 3 and get the Death Guard card "Spread contagion" where I pick a character and get a point if he survives the game.
What do I do with the card after I have chosen a character?

1. Discard it and pick a new one next turn?
OR
2. Keep it for the rest of the game and thus stopping me from picking a new card every turn thereafter, potentionally costing me alot of points?
OR
3. Something else?

Number 2.

Remember that there is a mechanism to discard objectives you don't want or can't complete at the end of your turn. BRB Page 226.

I was afraid that was the case. But it is what makes the most sense I suppose.
Guess I'll just discard it if it pops up at the beginning of the game. It would be an easy point in later turns though.

Anywho, thanks for clearing this up

FWIW the DG Tactical Objectives are pretty terrible.

My gaming group plays Maelstrom almost exclusively, so I'm always picking a Warlord from a different detachment just to avoid them. The CSM or Daemon ones are at least achievable.
