What kind of case can transport:

77x 25mm round based models

3x 60mm round based daemon princes

9x 40mm round based models?

I'm trying to look for the most compact single case to transport these.

I'm wanting to say Citadel's Battle-sized case. But it really depends on the models, e.g. how tall they are and do the DPs have massive non-magnetized wings etc.

But you can fit 77 guardsmen, 3 dreadnoughts and 9 terminators in the Battle case pretty easily, if those are close to the dimensions of your models.

Think of the biggest case you could possibly need. Now double that. (Honestly, I've never met anyone who regretted buying too much mini storage capacity.)

Are your bases magnetized though? I made a carrying case that doubles as a cheapo display case out of a Hefty under-the-bed storage and discount store cookie trays:

Cookie trays are secured to the lid with nuts and bolts. Cost to make one of these things is roughly $16 each case ($7 container, + 2x$3 cookie trays + $2 PVC spacers + $1 nuts, bolts, rubber washers).

Look ma! No hands!

I am currently in the process of repainting and rebasing some of my earliest minis to work with these things.

Depending on how the models are posed, you could get all that into one KR standard box.

It also depends on where you plan to transport them. Putting them in the car to go to a club or friends house? You're likely better off with the kind of thing above where you had a magnet on the base and a storage box with a steel bottom (you don 't need to use baking trays either, you can usually find a place nearby that cuts sheet steel that you can buy a piece from)

Getting on a plane or someone else handling it? (like shoving into the bottom of a coach), you need foam storage or a proper flight case and really strong magnets.

I checked. The baking trays were cheaper ($3 for 11"x15"), and they had a teflon coating that makes it corrosion resistant and a bevel, which make it easier to slide my minis off the surface. Oh, and pre-drilled holes for hanging re-purposed for the bolts.

If I ever go on plane, my solution is to fill the case with packaging peanuts and put them into a balikbayan box (double-walled cardboard box). But yeah, long-distance transport is a problem in general.
