I'm trying to work out if I have enough models that are 30k compatible to write my first list: here's what I have

Captain (Power Sword & Bolter)
Chaplain guy from BaC with bolt pistol
3x 10 Tactical Marines, Plasmagun, Combi-Plas, Power Sword/Axe
Contemptor Dread, Dual Kheres & missiles
Leviathan Dreadnought, Grav Flux, Storm Cannon, Volkite & launcher

also a forgeworld land raider achilles, are these 30k compatible?
I may also use guilliman's 40k model as a stand in later on??

I think that's all valid for 30k so you can play but I can't speak for the quality of your army. As for using 40k Guilliman I'd check with your group as they're the ones who would be raising issues that impact you.

Everything looks fine for 30k, the Achilles is definitely a 30k entry; I have one in my heresy army.

Reg Guilliman, I think he is on a larger base for 40k, which might raise an issue for some.

Without looking at my book, I think you're good to go and take the plunge.

Enjoy. In the USA, no one plays any more so Horus Heresy is just 'The Relic Stuff for 40k' for most of us here.

I don't think my boys will mind the substitute on guilliman; his forgeworld sculpt is expensive for a boring, static stance miniature....


Adeptus Doritos (BEST USERNAME EVER BTW) -yeah that's how it started for me; my 40k army featuresz a lot of older marks of armour from calth so I figured some "relics2 ought to be present in my armoury, starting with the achilles because I liked the model and followed closely by a leviathan dreadnought because I've loved the mini since I first saw a blood angels one on display in my old FLGS, but could never afford one until recently!

Wha?? The FW 30k Guilliman model is far nicer than the 40k one (who also has a very static stance). The scale of the 40k one is so stupid and cartoon-y in comparison.
