I picked up some of the DZC card scenery to use in Titanicus. Are there any guides or blogs on how to strengthen the card buildings? They seem a bit flimsy

I’ve seen people staple the flap for the top down to the side it’s flush against. For a while you could also get rubble templates that buildings would fit neatly over that’d help them keep the square/rectangle shape.

if you take the interior measurements you could get a piece of MDF cut to match. glue it in (or don't, depending on how snugly it fits already) and you should be good.
Take a look at Kings of War multibases sellers, they'll usually cut to spec if you send an email. According to your flag you're in the UK, so warbases.co.uk would be a good place to start.

One idea I had was to cut and glue spare sprue from old models into simple frames for the buildings. I tried it out and it worked (and was obviously free) but for storage purposes I couldn't use it for my two sets. As long as you're not collapsing the buildings after every use (only an option if you didn't glue them), it's a viable method of strengthening them.

Awesome, exactly what I was looking for!

I used another layer of card, and strengthened the corners with square cut foamed pvc, you could use foamboard. There's also free pdf buildings on the site, I printed those out on cardstock and did the same.

In my experience, once you glue the roof in place, they’re sturdy enough. You could base them for extra strength, but actually reinforcing them structurally is overkill.

I did the same thing as in the tutorial, but I just used 3 mm cardstock, instead. I'm in the process of basing them on 1 mm plasticard. Those 'For Sale' signs you can buy at the hardware store.
I'm basing them for use with the rest of my Epic 40k buildings, as well as other 6-10 mm games. Between the Dropzone buildings, roads, and all of my Epic 40k buildings/ruins I can completely cover a 4'x4' table!
