Here's my new challenge, Its my first 100% kitbashed model... through this project i am testing and teaching myself alot of new things, such as photography, wet blending, kitbashing, shading more expertly, i am walking a very new road, lots of first times.
Tbh so far i am very impressed and pleased with the results, especially the kitbash itself. You know when you have a precise image in your head and you manage to achieve exactly what you wanted on the first try? Feels great.

Please give me feedback on anything, (picture, paintjob, modeling...love advice?) don't hold any blows i want to learn.

Here's a picture of the unassembled model followed by its current state (only the face and trench coat are done painting)

Okay, hard-hitting feedback incoming. Brace yourself!

It looks really cool. Looking forward to seeing the finished pics because what you've got so far is awesome.

Sorry, I couldn't really get very hard-hitting.

I like it but I feel like the legs are very thin.. Maybe bulk out the top with some equipment or something?

No, it comes from a sprue of etched brass that forgeworld used to sell (I couldn't find it).

I agree about his legs. Maybe some ornate thigh armor or something. Looks great overall though. Nice work.

She looks cool. Slim in the legs- maybe it's the cloak throwing me off, though. Maybe some gubbins and bitz would give it some more depth? Your call. Either way, I like it. I'd put my Deathwatch down alongside her!

Yeah, that's coming together really nicely! Looking forward to seeing it all painted. I quite like the spindly limbs, very reminiscent of various 40k concept art pieces where even humans are horrible, distended mockeries of themselves.

Where is that head from?

Thanks for the comments guys, I think i see what you are talking about. I do feel the thigh without book is bare. She has a secondary belt hanging at her hips holding her book (its not base coated because i have no idea what color i should paint it, oppened to suggestions) i could use it to hang something from it on her thigh. I also have some servo skulls lying around... i really want to cover it up with something now. the idea of adding an armor plate sounds great, but i'd need one on the other thigh as well and it would be excrutiating to pull off with my skills because of the book in the way. Maybe some inquisition trinkets and baubles hanging from her unpainted belt could work. I'll see what i can find.

It is from statuesque miniatures, they have a large variety of heads and offer great customer service, the ponytail was taken from a sister of silence however.

right now im working on the greaves, trying my hand at wet blending, and after alot of failures on paper and youtube videos I found a way that works for me, using 3 brushes.
I find it satisfying for my first time and will now repeat the process on her left greave.

I'll pipe up with more when I'm not surreptitiously posting at work, but I'll go against others and say the legs are absolutely fine. Some people, even athletic ones, have slimmer legs than others. The way the coat billows, makes her look like a slim person wearing a garment they're not filling out much, which legitimises the legs.

edit:
Critique for the bits that look fully painted, shadows could be deepened a bit on the coat and the forehead looks a bit grainy

Heh, you spotted that. Yeah often when I paint many layers on a surface it becomes grainy and i have no idea why...I thin my paint i clean my brushes and i thought it might be because i was using 10 years ++ old cheap paints, but i purchased a new bottle of GW metallic and some vallejo paints for the first time and i had the same result on the greaves. Wich might be harder to see but its there. If anyone has any idea why it keeps happening? Also priming under dry weather was brought up but as you can see on the legs and torso the primer seems smooth...

Are you allowing the previous layer to dry fully before applying the next? Sometimes you want the surface to be a little damp if you're trying to blend or glaze, but there's a sweet spot when doing that as if part of the surface is basically dry and some of it isn't you'll pull up little grains from the edge of each area.

Can also be an issue with how thoroughly you've cleaned your brush or perhaps the water in your pot is accruing little bits of debris that transfer to the brush.

Oof, that was alot of work, but its finally done, here's the finished product. I left the legs as they were, i found that they didn't bother me. I hope it doesn't make the model look weird for others.
