Has there been any info available about weapons being available separately for adeptus titanicus? I was optimistically assuming that they would sell them separately, but a youtuber 'unboxing' brought up a dreadful possibility: That they would sell different 'versions' of the warlord. The dual volcano cannon warlord - with missiles. A Macro-Gatling Blaster variant, etc, etc.

At first I thought "no way, that'd be utter bullcrap". Then I remember it is GW we're talking about. I've got a Grand Master starter set in the mail and I'm considering not even opening it until I find out. If they're going to milk us for weapons, I can just sell it.

And this isn't exactly unprecedented - since they did just that with the Dominus Knight.

They've already talked about specific weapons sprues. and frankly they'll make more money selling us upgrade kits.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

They were pretty clear that the plan was to do upgrade packs: plastic for common weapons, and resin for rare ones.

I just wish they'd provide a little news.

If it bothered you that much, just use the model as is, and say it's armed with a quake cannon and power fist or whatever.

It isn't like there will be dozens of titans on each side for both players to keep track of, and both sets of cards are laid out on the table so you can see which Titan is armed with what. In the rules there is no distinction between left arm vs right arm either, so it doesn't matter that you are attacking from the left but the facing your titan is a melta cannon etc..

Probably the best place to ask, can you take a Reaver with three missile launchers like you could in the old game?
Just been reading Titanicus which describes a engine with arm mounted missile pods and stupidly you can't run one in 40k.

They designed warlord with magnets in mind. Without weapon sprues separate that wouid be pointless

Y’all remember how long it took for them to release the boom gun and deffrolla for the Ork battlewagon? It was a couple of years IIRC for them to release a sprue that should have been in the box given its price point.

I 3D print my own guns and convert others from plastic 40k bits. .

Why 40K? This is all about Adeptus Titanicus.

That said, missile launchers are not among the options for Reaver arm weapons. You could houserule it though, using the Warlord carapace versions for the Reaver arm weapons - an expensive conversion, but it could look prett sweet.

Since when did weapon effectiveness trump how they look on the tabletop?

Bit risky creating such an extreme shield buster titan even if it's good one at it. But could work and 360 los could be usefull

considering ALL the other weps on the reaver, running 3 missiles seems like a waste.

i dont say that sutch a loadout is gameplay vise bad, im just saying it is better suited for a different unknown titan.

It shouldn't be 360. The Reaver Carapace missile launcher is only 360 because it's on top of the Titan, and doesn't have anything (such as the Titan's body, for instance) obstructing the field of fire. The Warlord paired missile launchers, on the other hand, can only fire straight ahead. A house rule arm-mount missile launcher should only have a Forward firing arc, like most of the other arm-mounted weapons.

Why on unknnown though since trio missile launcher reaver has existed before?

Similarly btw wonder why no arm turbo laser destroyers. Wasn't original metal reaver armed with those?

Ah good point. Well still 15 shots could be useful enough for stripping shields fast if you are willing to take the risk of not having support in place when you need it.

Based on the one game I've had the chance to play so far, the arm-mounted Laser Blaster seems almost identical in stats to the carapace-mounted Turbo Laser Destroyer anyway.

-1 to hit hurts. Combined with enemy in cover that's halving your output.

it is, but what sells the carp turb laser dest over the arm laser blast is the 360* on the carp turb.
but then again how you kit out the reaver depends on the maniple, if you run say a venator maniple you have 0 needs for rocket pods on the reaver.

Or you do. If your titan cannot be self sufficient you are putting yourself at risk. What if those warhounds can't be used to strip shields? Then you have reaver binking shielded titan forever.

Mighty Reaver, armed with tripple missile launchers actually looks somehow cute. We have decided to houserule it into the campaign as an upgrade, "Myrmidon weapon mounts", akin to Gryphonnicus upgrades. 10 points and allows to mount AML to arms and a plasma blastgun to carapace.
And with magnetised everything it is an easy one.
