So, for those who might not know this area (I know it extremely well) The National Solar Observatory sits atop Sacramento Peak overlooking the Tularosa Basin, White Sands National Monument, and the City of Alamogordo, NM. Last Friday, the FBI and Mil Police from nearby Holloman AFB showed up, evacuated the mountain, including the science staff and then secured the area. No one, not even the director or the local sheriff has been apprised as to the situation. All the FBI will say is that it is investigating an on going security threat, and now, a week later, we still have no answers, no one has been allowed to go home and the mountain is still under lock and key. Also, the local post office is also on lock-down, no one being able to get in or out.

A couple of things I think are important. Sacramento Peak has a clear and un blocked line of sight directly over looking both Holloman AFB, and more importantly, WSMR (White Sands Missile Range) a US ARMY/NASA/USAF joint testing site in the Tularosa Basin. I know people who work at many of these places, I made inquires, but no one is talking. Not, because they can't, but because they really don't know what is going on.

To that end, I do have a couple of theories as to what is going on here, and considering the crazy amount of mental people online calming everything under, inside, or on the surface of the sun, I feel I should spell this out.

First:

It is highly likely that one of the US Military Organizations above have closed the peak under the guise of a "security threat" in order to conduct a missile/aircraft/drone test.

Second:

It's possible there was a credible threat such as: bomb/chemical/etc and that the post office and the site were closed due to this threat. If the investigation is on going, you'd definitely keep hush hush about it until you've finished every possible detail.

Third:

It is possible that someone (a foreign group most likely) has made the attempt to place observational devices on the mountain to spy on either or both of the local bases just across the valley.

Personally, I'm betting it is either number one or number two, but I included #3 because it is circulating through the local community, that someone hiking on the mountain discovered observational equipment that might be used in covert observation.

Anyone else fancy a guess?

This really seems like the set-up for a movie, doesn't it?
But yeah, it is certainly something perfectly mundane. It may very well be that someone was trying to observe something other than sunspots on that mountain. That, or the observatory saw that the end of the world is coming and the FBI is trying to keep it quiet to avoid panic.

The greys are building a faraday cage around our star to bleed it dry of energy, and doom humanity at the same time! The reptilians are tying to keep us in the dark until they can destroy the cage to resume enslaving us! That’s the only possible answer!

Well, guess someone was observing something other than the sun indeed... But a lot more mundane than I expected. I was thinking about spies or something at least a bit exciting like that, not about ordinary perverts. Why is the world so boring...
