So simple question..so in a battle forged list it says transports can be had for every other choice..so that means if there are say 10 total units picked then you can have maximum of 5 transports. Yes?

Secondly, I have been itching to modify reivers with jump packs but there isn't an obvious rule about them other than inferred points increased based upon other units that have jump pack options, and of course the fly rule coming into effect...Reivers are supposed to be the Primaris version of shock troops and with their rules adding a jump pack and getting a 12 move would be more effective than grav chutes and grapnels..

How would you address this if you wanted to do the conversion?

1) No, you get 10. You get one transport for each other (non-transport) choice.

2) Reivers can't take jump packs, period. You're free to make up house rules if you want, but don't expect anyone to go along with them. You're also free to model them however you want just to look cool, but don't ever expect people to just say "Sure, they can take jump packs even though the rules don't say they can."

Dedicated Transports: "May include 1 for each other choice."

You may have one transport for every unit in your detachment that is not a dedicated transport.

For your Reiver conversion, the only rule is the rule of cool. Which means you will need to talk your opponent into letting you play converted, but no RAW/Point cost models.

The conversion would be cool. I’m happy with house rules and if people don’t want them just say it’s the grav chute option and play them normal. If I were you I would add some of the fins to the jump packs so they look a bit more like primaris style and inceptor like.

Removed by BrookM - Rule #1 please!

Obviously not tournament legal though good count as for grabling hook so models won't go waste if you can find usage for grabling hook reivers.

Some 2-3 pts per model more and you are good to go. 2 pts seems fairly standard for jump packs so 3 pts would be playing it fairly safe.

First, about the conversion sure it looks nice. Go ahead.

About playing them with house rules, If you have friends or players who allow you, fine. I wouldn't. Ok. Reivers haven't AP in CC, and adding them the jump pack ability makes them not a beast. But if we begging with house rules in point cost and changing the models... Hey, my Terminator squad has a 4++ and they ignore one AP pointfor costing 3 points more each. Where will we arrive? One thing is a house rule about a rule, but going into change moddels...

Now, I find your idea in terms of modeling nice, and I would like to see your Reivers conversion for sure. If you post them once you finish them on the paint forum I will be happy to see them. Please, don't think I am attacking you, I am only against this kind of thing in general.

I like this kind of thing. Made up rules for lots of models, boar boyz, arbiters and squats. I use Power Rating not points which makes costing these things easier. So can’t help on points.

Okay so Transports are an easy answer. Thanks for that.. As for the conversions? Well I have already done the basic stuff already, adding the grav fins was a nice idea..either way, I wouldn't take them to an actual tournament, and I f I tried to play them in a game and my opponent didn't want to indulge me then I'd just play them as standard Reivers or not at all. My ultimate goal is to build up a complete chapter of Primaris models, so 10 Reivers with jump packs wont be that big a deal if I have to find something else to play.
