Hard to know how to feel about this one.

On the one hand, I love this property, and bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle seems really legit.

On the other hand, Blumhouse is making it. To say they're uneven feels like an understatement. They went from sharting out a new paranormal Activity every October to using a thesaurus to release cookie cutter low budget horror movies to occasionally releasing a few legitimately good movies, but that could be either studio development or a thousand monkeys with a thousand typewriters.... hard to say.

I do love the franchise, and apparently bad movies in general, so I'm excited!

Does this new movie only count the original and Haloween 2 as canon?

I dont even think it counts 2, since it mentions him killing 3 people on Halloween. Halloween 2 happened on the same night.

Doesn't it kind of have to count H2, as it literally takes place immediately after H1?

I did some reading and I guess they are choosing to ignore it, making this Halloween an alternate reality from the one where the Hospital Massacre happens and Laurie has her daughter Jamie.

That was the original plan but they decided during production to omit Halloween 2. This picks up directly after the first Halloween movie.

Well, the last film I saw that chose to omit part of a film series to pick up where a midway film left off was "Superman Returns". To say my expectations are low that they will pull this off is like calling the Grand Canyon a hole: accurate word, but does not do the description justice.

Looking for dice from the new AOS boxed set and Dark Imperium on the cheap. Let me know if you can help.

I would agree, but I need to go kick this football that Lucy is holding.

Sorry, I'm part of the problem.
