How can you do this? Working the other way around by turning the model upside down and drybrush it with black? Giving the whole model a wash of Nuln Oil?
Something else?

Could try airbrushing from the side with the mid tone, or just going with the darker tones from above as a thing filter to tone it back?

When I need to tone something down I thin down a wash of choice with medium. This means you can paint it on a bit more, as opposed to mopping it around, and use it to tone down any colours. The colour will be pretty thin and subtle so you’ll need two or three coats depending on your mix ratio.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Depends how bad?

dry brushing back the other way with a dark color probably wont work as the previous layer is going to change the color.

you may probably have to relayer fully and start over again, or you may be able to filter it back down a little with a wash/glaze of the previous dark color.
