Hello all!

I'm 29 and from Hampshire, and was introduced to wargaming last year. I've lurked since then, and figured I should make an account as I'm still here! I feel like I've got a lot to catch up on as so many people found this as a kid, but better I got into it late than never!

The painting side of the hobby is what drew me in, and it's dug its claws in firmly. How the models look and the lore behind them are the main interest points for me - I've not played with them yet, but I look forward to once I've got everything painted to a standard I'm happy with (I keep having to remind myself I'm aiming for tabletop quality and they don't have to be perfect, but I still want them to be my best).

I have a half-painted Drukhari Kill Team, the beginnings of an AOS Seraphon army, and a Malifaux crew still in its box that I'll get round to at some point... I'm planning to finish the Kill Team and Seraphon army first to try not to flit between too many projects and never finish anything (wish me luck), but I'm also considering expanding my Kill Team into an army for 40K. There are so many more I want (Daughters of Khaine, I'm looking at you) but I told myself I'd be good and pace myself.

Good idea - don't buy anything else until you've painted what you've got - your peace of mind - and your wallet - will thank you!

And, of course, welcome to Dakka Dakka!

Welcome to DakkaDakka, friend!

Best part about painting is that it is ultimately a journey. Like you I am also at that tabletop standard, but I am still encouraged to improve, but to also be satisfied at whatever level I paint. I guess what I'm trying to say is never feel discouraged! There are some great Youtubers out there that provide amazing tips!

Most importantly though, have fun!

I'll leave you a link for some videos if you would like to check them out

Sorry to dump all these, but they are very special, and I would say that they helped me out immensely.

Cheers!

Thank you for the welcomes!

And thanks for the links SirStudent - youtube is such a fantastic resource. I'd found the first, but not the other three, and they look like they'll be really useful.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
