Hopefully this is the right place for this topic
What faction of space marines are the best at melee in kill team? No models yet, just trying to see what the melee options are for SM.
Deathwatch seems simplest, because I can give every marine a melee weapon and storm shield. Is any other space marine faction better at melee?
I currently have a list that's a veteran leader w/xenophage, combat specialist with heavy hammer, blackshield zealot with power sword, and a veteran veteran with power sword. Also a fire team member with a power sword. All the sword boys also have stormshield (pretty sure hammer guy cant take one)
Is this the best melee marines avaliable in kill team?

There’s a sub forum for specialist games.
On topic though, I think the best are Deathwatch and death guard. That flail!

The right place for future reference would be the "Games Workshop Board Games & Specialist Games" further down. As for your question, Reivers are quite strong in this format so whoever you decide on you will likely want a box of those. On the Chaos side Plague Marines can be really brutal.

Cool, thanks. Rievers look cool, ignoring height is really handy. Are they good in melee with just the knife?
Deathguard are sweet. I have a few plague marines kicking around too, failed to consider chaos for some reason lol.
And if a mod wants to move the thread that would be cool. I'll post there next time, thanks!

+1 for DG with Flail.
IMO DG overall in Kill Team are quite strong against most match ups.

My wife already crushed my AdMech kill team with the Deathwatch I made for her. I'm sure she'll take great pleasure in crushing me with the Death Guard next, lol. I need to stop pointing out all the ways to beat me. . .

World Eaters are just CSM, which are... weirdly pretty bad at melee. Or anything, really. The wargear options for that particular faction are limited and poor. If you want Chaos melee your best bet is Plague Marines since you can take specific melee guys that get an extra attack.
