Decided to start a very small, slow burn Imperial Guard project - based around an Indian/Sikh styled force, inspired by the poorly equipped but hard fighting Indian forces from WW2 (and all the way back to the Boxer Rebellion, etc.)

While I've found plenty of heads and bodies I can use - predominantly from Mad Robot Miniatures, are there any other sources of 3rd Party resin or plastic bits for Indian/Sikh inspired guard? Bonus points if resin Kukris exist somewhere on the interwebs. Thanks!

Spoiler:

Something akin to this (and yes, I will have Rough Riders...maybe...eventually) but with more vibrant colours.

Anvil industry has you covered:

Have a look through the rest of their range top, plenty of choice for that era in a 40k setting. Postage to America is also very quick from them from what I've heard too, so you won't have to wait long.

Cool, thanks. Yep, I'd seen Anvil's heads (I think I prefer Mad Robots at this point). Any more bits, by all means share! I was really hoping for Kukris, though I can probably look into some historical ranges for those as well.

Elbows,

The Kukris was the hand-to-hand weapon of the Gurkha Regiments of Nepal and not the Sikh soldiers...but this is a fantasy game of toy soldiers so it does not really matter.

Did you mean the Kirpan?

Cheers,

CB

Great theme, the colonial forces and even modern Indian forces have some wonderful colorful uniforms. If you haven't checked it out Osprey has some great books.

I always thought someone needs to do a sci fi India game.
