I am making a thread here for anyone who wants to ask questions about what options to use, rules wise or modelling wise. Hopefully this will help people.

I am putting Théoden on horse together right now. Of course, helmeted or not? I am leaning to helmeted on horse and unhelmeted on foot. Maybe I should switch it? Since I am not familiar with the rules yet, are there any rules that it would make a difference or is it just aesthetics and doesn't matter? I just want to make sure there is no rules difference. If so what page in the book so I can check on.

Just want to see what others may think just in case unhelmeted might look better. Magnets are out of the question, already frustrated how some pieces are small lol. No way I could but a tiny magnet on the heads.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

There's no rules impact of the helmeted or unhelmeted head. Personally, Theoden always straps his helmet on when he's in full armour and heading into the fray on horse so I figure it makes sense to depict him as such. Especially since the two times we see him, and Snowmane, in full armour riding into battle also features him with a helmet.

But, of course, its purely an aesthetic thing so there's nothing wrong with having him without. I personally went unhelmeted on the foot model just for some variation.

Thank you Oppl. That was my thinking. Glad to know there is no rules. So that is what I will do then. Thank you very much.

If I recall correctly the only helmet in the game that actually makes a rules difference is the one from the witchking.

Thank you Sgt. Cortez. I will check it out and keep my eye on it. Is it in the rules or in the profile book? I don't have the profile book yet.

That's in the profile book. His "helmet" is called the morgul crown (my retranslation from german... it might be called differently ) and gives him more attacks.
