I'm thinking on buying a kill zone to have another one to play apart from the one that comes on the starter set. I know every realased killzone has one Sector Imperialis face, but I don't know which ones match with the one of the starter set, as I want to play some 3-4 player games

Which are the combinations of the actual Kill Zones?

I personnally combine Sector Imperialis with Death World Forest. You can or do half forest/half Sector, or use thé main building of Sector, surrounded by the Forest. It looks great!

The issue is that the pattern of some boards doesn't coincide each other. For example, death world forest and sector imperialis ones don't match well, but imperialis and mechanicus do

In fact, all of the currently released kill zone tiles connect to one another.

You can literally have all six sides to connect together (don't forget the kill Team starter box is a double sided sector imperials tile!)

Unfortunately, there still isn't any tiles that connect on their shortest side, as the current ones connect on their longest side only unless you can put up with mismatched squares.

Some what unrelated but I really wish GW did these as mats rather than card board. My kill team one is still in good shape since it's new but my one from the moon base release is already warping, and the seams are getting thin. I really don't get why they went with an inferior option.

You are right, if you put all of them on a row: Imperialis<<Mechanicus><<Munitorum<<Wall of Martyrs><<DW Forest they connect, I didn't notice that
