Hi there!

I'm playing in the GW store Kill Team campaign with Tyranids, and my Tyranid Warrior Leader specialist has just levelled up for the first time

He now costs 4pts more and for that gets the choice from 2 abilities: Bold or Inspiring. This causes a little bit of a conundrum, as Tyranid Warriors have the Synapse rule, which appears to make both choices redundant!

I'm new to the ruleset though, and might be missing something. So, does either Bold or Inspiring ever confer a benefit to a model with synapse?

Need to check before I have to lock one in!

Check against the leveling tree, but it'll matter as to which L3 traits you choose to take. One side of the tree gives a reroll aura, the other a CP farm.

Oh yeah that's a good point. Synapse is really useful, so I can't begrudge it too much.

You'll also unlock the level 2 specialist tactic, but that's independent of what you choose so not all that pertinent in this particular decision.
