I recently picked up Tooth and Claw to split between me and my son. He is dead set on playing Salamanders because he likes their whole aesthetic. I am going to build and paint them up for him as a Christmas gift. I am a Xenos player with absolutely zero experience with Imperial armies (except as opponents). I play Genestealer Cult, Nids and various varieties of Eldar, and I want him to have a decent army.

The Tooth and Claw set comes with Intercessors, which are no frills and easy. The Aggressors get the boltstorm gauntlets. But, how should I equip the Redemptor Dreadnought?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I'd go with the plasma, storm Bolters and flamer. Their chapter trait let's you re roll a hit and wound roll for one weapon in a unit and that will definitely help the plasma get some damage in!
