Crooked Dice are at it again. This time they are expanding the rules to cover lots of the popular post apocalyptic shows and adding better vehicle rules, including vehicular combat.

WHAT IS 7TV:APOCALYPSE?
7TV: Apocalypse is a standalone ruleset that uses the existing 7TV skirmish system. This boxed set includes new post-apocalyptic themed profile cards, gear and mutation decks and newly designed status tokens. The box also includes brand new vehicle combat rules to allow you to battle across the wasteland in your souped-up wrecks!

So pick your apocalypse...

The rules allow play in ANY genre of apocalyptic setting you wish.

You can chase your enemies across a desert with giant ants from the atomic age.
Or try to outrun mohican-sporting marauders for the last drops of guzzoline.
Or maybe you want to face the zombie hordes in any number of undead holocausts from the black and white classics to the modern award-winning franchises they have spawned?
You can fight for the very souls of mankind as angels or demons on Judgement Day.
Or escape a bio-engineered nemesis in a virus-ravaged city.
Perhaps you have imagined some future dystopia ruled by the machines, simians or alien overlords – and want to break the chains of their oppressive regime?
All this and more is possible with 7TV:Apocalypse, providing hours of play across many genres.

Unlike the last campaign where the all-in pledge wasn't really worth it, even at the end, as soon as this one passes the initial goal, the all-in is good value already.

the campaign has gone live (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1039850061/7tv-apocalypse-skirmish-rules-and-28mm-miniatures/description) and 30 minutes in is three quarters of the way to funded

Bearing in mind that there's a pledge level with the box that's going to get plenty of free minis should those stretch goals be met.

I'm tentatively in for a box. Just finished painting up some stuff for an anthropomorphic apocalypse that would be perfect for those beastmen to fight.

Good thing there's no kittyfolk with swords handy...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Too bad Johnny Lauck's no longer running KS's. We got 29 post-apoc miniatures (including robots) for $30, with free shipping in his Savage Crew KS. Still haven't painted them yet...

Some cool individual minis but none of the sets are winning me over. I’ll wait for them to go to retail.

If I have some money left at the end of the month, after SPIEL (Germany) and CRISIS (Belgium), then I will definitely pledge for a box of those Cultists!

I don't want to sound like a TFG, but what is the scale of these guys, and do you have a comparison shot?
The picture makes them look a little … odd.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

7TV stuff is 28mm, designed to be used with most pulp miniature manufacturers. Barzam has a comparison of an earlier Crooked Dice minion next to a SoB: https://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/672854-Crooked%20Dice%20Minion%20compared%20to%20GW%20and%20Infinity.html?m=2

I think their more recent stuff has trended toward more true scale, but I don't think you'll have much of an issue mixing them in with your collection or vice versa.

If it's the Mutant Hill Mob specifically that you're asking about, I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be something along the lines of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

I'd really like to back this, but my employment situation hasn't been solved yet, so sadly, I think I'm going to have to live vicariously through Highlord Tamburlaine's pledge.

I think the Mutant Hill Mob may also be a Wacky Races reference, with the car full of midget gangsters and Penelope Pitstop or whatever she's called.

At a guess, they're meant to be Penelope Pitstop and the Ant Hill Mob, but Crooked Dice probably want to avoid being sued by whoever owns Hanna-Barbera's IP these days.

I'll admit that the deformed look threw me at first until I twigged as to the source. Plus Dastardly and Muttley show up as two of the stretch goals. It's a pity that the Gyrocopter strecth goal doesn't seem to come with a Pigeon.

Yeah, you're probably right. They probably are a Wacky Races reference. Could work as Snow White as well, but you're probably right.

They are absolutely a Wacky Races reference as later stretch goals are Dick Dasardly and Mutley

Automatically Appended Next Post:
some more goals have been breached since the last update too

and just now

Which makes the next goal the Savages gang

We're in the final 48 hours. I really hope it picks up...we've been stalled for about two straight weeks, and I really want that Beastmen crew.

Ditto. And under the original roadmap, we'd be knocking on the door of that goal at 34k. I'm still in for a sizable chunk, but I am admittedly a little salty that I might not get the guys I really wanted.

I went in on the 5 crew pledge on the assumption that we'd unlock the Raiders, Savages, and Beastmen. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should downgrade to account for where we ended up. That was a really harsh stall.
