While rounding out my Eldar army, I'm finishing neglegted models and closing gaps. I always used Psyker-HQs, and until recently didn't have any autarch models ready to play.
After covering the Autarchs on foot, I then looked at getting a Jetbike Autarch going. While I was waiting for an OOP Metal Jetbike Autarch to make it to my mailbox, I started fiddeling with a conversion.

A friend donated a metal Banshee, which I wanted for the mask. When deciding where to cut into the model with my saw, I looked at it some more compared to the jetbike pilot and decided to use the whole body, not just the head.
While the left leg almost fit, I cut both tights away between butt and knee, trimmed them down to the armour plates and used a paperclip, greenstuff and that armour plate to re-make the legs in a more useful position.

I decided to paint her just like my Banshees are painted. Since autarchs mix and match Aspect warrior gear, I figured a bit of colour wasn't a show-stopper.
The Banshee to her left is the same metal model as the new Autarch. The model on the right is one of my recently painted Autarchs.

Further parts:
After looking around for bits to use as laser lance, I decided to turn one, using the flexible shaft of my Dremel-alternative in a vise together with dollar store rasps and a wooden skewer.
The big shoulder pads I took from an old Kabalite warrior. The look reminds me of the cloth over armour in old samurai movies.
The arms are plastik jetbike rider arms, for the lance with the hand turned 90 degrees.
The banners are scanned, printed and PVA soaked old jetbike accessories, on brass rod, tipped by old jetbike banner tips.
Since I had to trim her green cloth, I added a shawl of green floating behind her, which I took from Shadow-Spectres leftovers.
Even though most of these parts are from old models, I used a new jetbike.

Too bad we can only have 3 of these in Matched play. I love this model in both rules and modeling opportunities. Wanted to have an army with about a dozen of them.

Great job!

Here is what I did in a recent commission: metal Banshee helm head and weapon arm from the winged autarch, standard bike with fins swapped from metal wraithguard, standard legs, crotch part cut at the abs and drilled a hole to fit plastic male guardian body, standard bike off arm, standard backpack sheathed power sword and lens.
