Been playing some games of Shoot N' Skedaddle lately with a buddy of mine - working on the campaign.
Our first game had centered around our newly developed Outlaw gang and Lawmen posse confronting eachother when one of 'my' Cowboys was to be put to rope for a questionable crime. I charged into town, put up enough of a gunfight that the Lawmen led by 'Slick' John Cohan, had fled the town. My outlaw gang retired from the town and were enjoying some respite in Scarlet Creek, Kansas when - unbeknownst to me, the Lawmen had sent their Texas Ranger off for help and he'd be arriving by train in the very same town! Spotting my outlaws loitering in town, the rest of the Lawmen posse ran into town to ensure their reinforcements were not gunned down on the station platform.
We played on a smaller table, which was nice as it allowed us to properly cram all of the buildings together.
My gang started out scattered randomly throughout the town.
First bloodshed...two opposing town folk get into a Shootout and I end up on the losing end, though I put a slug into my opponent.
Drawing a bonus character, the Lawmen move smartly to occupy and fortify the large train station - hoping to turn it into a bunker of sorts, preventing me from killing off the arriving lawmen (who arrived at a random time determined by special cards)
The lawmen pile into the train station, chased by a disguised prostitute
The Lawmen reinforcements arrive...unfortunately the Texas Ranger drew a random character - which happened to be a character who grants an addiitonal character, so I quickly found myself very outgunned!
Then unfolded absolute mayhem in the train station...the outalws revealed a secret tunnel that entered the waiting room, a Lawman was cut in half with a coach gun, a prositute was attempting to distract Lawmen in another area...a Hired Gun of mine was shot down by a U.S. Marshal in a shootout...the Lawmen then barricaded the building so I could no longer enter it...I had men shooting in windows, etc. By the end I simply realized I'd lose this fight and withdrew with my tail between my legs...ready for the next campaign game.
