I waited to have the Reavers and Warhounds built before I started painting the armour plates.
Then I spent a lot of time worrying about base decoration that provides an idea of scale, which is why little red and yellow figures show allied troops for size comparison on the AT bases.

Since the Fire Wasps Legion isn't covered by the decal sheets at the moment, I didn't find too many useful decals besides generic AT and Mechanicus Logos to use.
Therefore I used a few decals from the FW Mechanicus decal sheet.

I uploaded some hi-res pictures to the Dakka Gallery, where you can pan and zoom to your hearts content:

What do you think?

I think they're gorgeous! The weapon glows are fantastic, is that drybrushed or airbrushed?

Thank you!
The weapon plasma glow, laser glow and heat effects are airbrushed. The glows over white applied with a brush, then deliberately overshot for a nice glow aura. The heat effects are Secret Weapon Blue and Red Heat, which I found to work very well when applied with a brush to the mini-knights.

Damn, I was hoping to do something similar with drybrushing or glazing but I’m not good at either.

Similar results are possible with drybrushing. I painted the glowing areas of the weapons dead white with a regular brush. Without an airbrush I'd then use a drybrush to dust the surrounding area with the paint that represents reflections, then follow with a regular brush to paint in the glowing areas.

Just prime some plastic teaspoons and test your process on those.

Some additions to the maniple have been completed!
More specifically laser carapace weapons for the Warlord and four Lucius Pattern Warhounds. These additions are my adaptations of fan-made 3D models.

The images are 6000x4000 pixels, so feel free to click, pan and zoom!

Mmh, crispy. That is a nice shade of red you have, especially with the clean hazard stripes.

It would be a real shame if someone were to score an engine kill against them

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

I'm significantly extending my Legio Ignatum. While other Titans are not quite finished, here is the clear new senior Princeps's ride.
