Looking for some creative ideas on how to give cash as a Christmas gift.

My girlfriend's son will be 15. He is super hard to buy gifts for (he works and buys alot of what he wants/needs already).

He has asked for gift cards or cash this year.

I saw once someone rolled up bills into Tootsie-Roll sized rolls and wrapped them in the Tootsie-Roll wrappers. That was pretty clever!

Any other ideas you guys can think of to do in gifting cash? Going to give him like $40

I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.

Three!! Three successful trades! Ah ah ah!

Game through Steam might be ideal; warhammer franchise is on sale atm; total war warhammer series if he doesn’t already have it.

He doesn't play computer games.

He is into photography and creating music on his computer.

He is also very particular when it comes to the euipment he wants/buys....so for him, getting $$ is actually ideal.

Just teying to think of fun ways to give it.

1. If he is into ANY kind of videogame (this technique will be lost if he he doesn't), get a loot box and stuff it with actual cash.

2. Get a white, burlap-ish sack. Draw a big dollar sign on it, say, "Sorry about the no-present but, I was thinking about you on my last bank job with the Beagle Boys, so here's a cut."

3. Get a container that you can chill nicely. Put in a card with some bad puns about "Cold, Hard Cash!"

4. Get a thong, stick the bills to it, gently and, with dots of glue not tape. Say, "I worked real hard to get you this gift." Then pop your pecs. I can pop my pecs.

5. I don't know if such a product exists but, those musical gift cards... try and find one that plays that simple song with the bass track, "....money, money, money, Money...MONEY".

Eldar (Craftworld Sahal-Deran) 2500pts. 2000pts Fully Painted.

Dark Eldar (Kabal of the Slashed Eye) 2000pts. 1250pts Fully Painted.

1: Get a mason jar.

2: Put cash in bottom of mason jar.

3: Fart into mason jar.

4: Close Mason Jar.

5: Wait until he opens it. Trust me, it's worth it.

If he's into photography, try to track down some canisters for film and fill them with the money you want to give him?

'Course, if he's 15 and into photography, he may not even know what 'film' or 'film canisters' are.

As artifacts from a previous century, they might be intriguing in their own right.

Done right (say, presenting them as necessary for his current camera(s)), watching him control an awkward reaction to 'relics' could be hilarious.

Or maybe if you can find an old style camera you could roll the money into the film compartment?

I'd say go for some money origami, there are all kinds of designs to pick from such as suits or animals!

I remember folding a very complicated pig in Scotland and then having to foolishly unfold it in the middle of a supermarket checkout when I realized I actually needed the thing

Assuming you live in the states though as plastic bills like the ones in Canada or the UK will probably not fold though.

A very simple, easy paper money gift my friend used to do all the time was to buy one of the Frito's bean dip cans with the plastic lid over the pull top at the local convenience store. You can pull off the plastic lid and put the money under the tab for the pull top, put the lid back on, and viola: You are giving him a can of bean dip for a gift (with a nice surprise). You can even give him some chips to eat it with, so double whammy!

Another potential option that occurs to me is to look into if any community colleges offer photography courses open to those who aren't actually enrolled.

That would be a heck of a surprise gift that isn't just money and shows that you understand that while he picks out his own gear and the like, you want to contribute to something he enjoys as a hobby.

PS:
I realize it goes a bit off from the wishlist you put up in that he wants cash or giftcards, but this is just one of those potentially out there things he might not have looked into himself.

Put it in a large box, preferably one labelled with something he would have no interest in (like a microwave or a hair dryer.) Put a phone book in the box along with some newspaper to make sure the book doesn't move.

Tape the money to the book. Watch his face when he opens it and see if he figures out what you did.

The most evil thing iv heard once was to embed a 100$ bill into clear home made soap.

but that was mostly for unhygienic kids.

Id say since he loves music, find the polar opposite of what he likes on CD and jam that gift card in there. the look on his face should be worth it

Ih Japan gifts of money are given on various formal occasions, and are enclosed in a special celebration envelope with a binding. You could get one from Amazon.

Just make sure it's the one for New Year money gifts to children, not the one for weddings or the one for funerals. The otoshidama (New Year) envelopes are bright and cheerful with cartoon characters and that sort of thing.

The other thing is to use crisp new bills.

Get a jewelry box. Put the money in it. Wrap it. Put that box inside of a bigger box stuffed with packing peanuts. Wrap that. Put THAT into a bigger box. Repeat until the box is roughly bicycle sized.

Get him some kind of cheapo kids toy at the dollar store and find a creative place to stuff the money.

He will open it and be like "wtf?... thanks alot... im not 5 year old.." until he finds the money.
