I posted a Ravenwing list a little while ago, no response, but I tried it today and found it lacking in heavy firepower. So, instead of taking Space marine infantry, I thought I'd take Plasma Pask to back up the Ravenwing, and get those 5 command points from some cheap Guard infantry. This is for a tournament coming up next month.

So my bikes bring the big guns, hoping to zoom up and alpha strike. Infantry squad with autocannon holds objectives in my backfield, providing fire support. Other two squads hopefully hunker down in cover somewhere. The attack bike is a cheap fast attack slot to fill out the Outrider Detachment. It's also actually not bad with the rerolls from Sammael. Pask is obviously just there with all the big guns to take out tanks and whatnot. Sammy and the Talonmaster bring the dakka to deal with hordes. The relic will be a Heavenfall blade on the talonmaster, and he's gonna have the Strength of the Lion trait.

Cant comment on the DA detachment, but I can give a few pointers on the IG side of things.

Pask is literally 1/5 of your army tied into one model without a inv save. I would not take it at such a small point game. You could get a primaris psyker and a regular LRBT for the same cost, and be far more survivable and annoying to the enemy.

I'm more concerned about actually hitting with my weapons, Pask is great because he hits on 2s, and rerolls 1s if he's staying still, and can order himself to reroll the random shot number on his weapons. That being said, my model count is kind of low, even if everything but the Guardsmen blobs are quite durable.

I'll take it into consideration. Taking a preist instead of a company commander might be an option for sure. Making Pask either +1 to armor or -1 to hit, and stacking that with smoke launchers, could make him really annoying to deal with.

Could you take an extra Black Knight and have 2x3 instead of the Attack Bike? Their guns synergise better with movement.

MMM yes, something to consider there. Mostly I want a big unit of black knights for using weapons from the dark age to get a really big damage spike. Typically thus far I've had them advance with speed of the raven, and then use weapons of the dark age to get off some damage on something big, then charge something to lock them in combat so that they cannot be shot at. It's worked well so far. The attack bike is jus tthere to fill a fast attack slot, and brings a big gun I can use to maybe melta a big monster or tank. 4+ rerollable to hit on the MM is still nice lol.

If I were to take the extra black knight, what should I take for the few extra points? Perhaps a single unit of 4 black knights, and a min unit of regular bikers with 2xplasma guns? It would leave me with 3 points.. Suggestions?
