Quick link to the write up I did over at Classichammer for this match up, one that we hadn't managed to make happen before. This would have been copy paste, but dakka has issues with Flickr, and I won't switch hosting sites.

Appreciate any responses.

Interesting report, never faced a minotaur horde before and would be fun to see how my army would stand upto it. Love all those WHQ 'taurs!
What was your thinking behind army list choice? I think your bro could do with some new dice!

All this talk of 6th is making me feel all nostalgic, going to have to break out my armies and see what state they are in and maybe coerce my brother into a game.

Yeah, he normally beats me silly. This was just his time. Karma, and all that.

That's pretty much the only models I have right now for the army. Once I have the income to chase them down, I'm gong to lay a swarm of Beast Herds through the painting process.

I'm also really keen on an army that is NOTHING but Minotaurs and a Doombull. I think if I aim for 40 Minotaurs total, it'll be about right.

Now HIS army selection? He just wanted to run a Dragon, pure and simple.

Nice report. The Elves were a bit on the weedy side. Those shadow warriors don't do much, dumping them for another bolt thrower would help and putting some more point into magic. High Elves have difficulty against high toughness, high strength armies, minotaurs are both of those. Those silver helms need something otherwise they are going to bounce off of things. Their armour is too light and they have crappie strength, so unless they punch through on the charge they will crumble away in following turns.

It's time to go full Skeletor

The Helms had their max armor save, so I may have to amend that. I forgot that you had to pay for full armor on those cats.
