Been recently pondering the idea of making my IG attachment for my wolves. Having had a IG army in the past, I wanna personalise it more. I wanna go with a city fighter theme. Catachan would be a good starting point, but I just don't like the Rambo theme. Does anyone know of a good place to start in terms of models, Im reasonably new to converting, and not sure where to start, and want to do this properly.

Anvil regiments range? They have a militia subpart there, but you in essence can mix and match there.

You're welcome, i recently started a army myself there and was seriously considering their militia range, as for quality, let's just say whilest resin way better then fw.

You won't be able to use Anvil minis in a GW.

Yes it is a concern. Not sure how I can achieve what I want with gw alternatives though.

Necromunda gangers? Empire Troops?

As I understand it, you can use minis that have up to 50% third-party parts, so you could add third-party legs and heads to Cadian torsos and weapons (for example) and be fine. This is exactly my plan for my Mutant Rabble.

What's your budget like? The FW Cadian Hostile Environment minis are incredibly sexy and just scream 'special ops' to me.

Scions with alt. heads? I've always thought DKoK would look great with puppetswar.eu's ushanka heads on them, but I'm sort of obsessed with the whole Eastern Front thing, so YMMV. Then there's the fact that a single DKoK platoon costs more money than my entire 1850pt Daemon army did, so...

I would go with Necromunda Orlocks. Their equipment seems suitable for cityfight and many of them have impressive facial hair.

Hmm why not "pansch" the units? Chances are that they will be partly equipped and suplied by the imperium. Basically buy a box of catachan or cadians and a 10 men squad and then make 20 models, that way they look even more ragtag whilest also allowing you to still enter gw places.
