SO eBay tempt me with a incredible coupon, $20 discount on $50 or more on any 1 item paying with paypal credit; I've just bought the blackstone fortress and IK valiant recently with other coupons; I know the best bang for my buck would be ork speed freeks boxset, but I don't want to spend that much. Help me decide on my drug of choice!

The Blackstar is a really cool model in general. It can do some thematic airlifting for your guardsmen/aliens troopers.

Could take a step into AT and get yourself a Warlord Titan, or even a Reaver + 2 Warhounds for around the same price.

AT is not for me, I prefer models I can use together with other game sets; atm I have 'Last night on Earth' 28mm real life size board game pieces painted; 15mm FoW, 28mm heroic Warhammer fantasy and 40k. 28mm Warlord is on my wish list someday in the distant future though!

Fair enough then. Helverins may be a nice thing to go for. I'm in the process of painting a Valiant and 2x Helverins and they're a nice little kit.

Well helverins would let you field a mini-maniple as a super-heavy detachment with other forces. I like the idea of a knight with a couple of squires for protection.

oh man Ghostkeel vs Corvus Blackstar--those are two of the coolest looking models. I currently have a Corvus Blackstar and it was super easy to build and paint, yet it looks amazing! Possibly the best looking imperial flyer (the valkyrie is pretty sweet too).

I don't even collect Tau (outside of a minimal kill team) and I want a Ghostkeel myself.

Helverins are cool, but meh they don't have the character of the Blackstar or Ghostkeel IMO. People will probably vote for them because they're currently strong in-game, but boo to that.

I voted Ghostkeel simply because I've seen less of them vs Helverins and Blackstars.

I've decided with tau ghostkeel, I think my own vote would go to IK helverins, but did a quick search on eBay and found a ghostkeel NIB for another 10% off to $59.40- $20 coupon=39.40; gonna take advantage of that. thanks for all the help guys!

I mean, the vulture is the best. But the blackstar is pretty nice. It actually looks like a dropship.

EDIT: I was leaning toward the IK helverins if the votes end up being a tie after 3 days or eBay prices stayed the same.

Already have him, kit bashed one, and bought the newer official version at the FW US HQ in grapevine during my visit recently at thxgiving. plus the marbo model didn't qualify for the coupon use as it needed to be over $50; he retail at $25 through GW direct.

I am drawn to the Corvus for the same exact reasons, I did wish they made a cockpit detail. I already have 6 Valkyrie variants(2 valkyries, 2 vendettas, 1 sky talon, 1 vulture), sold an older valkyrie too, I love the design. you can see them in the imperial navy link.
