Now the six most prominent gangs are out. What's your favorite and why?

Goliath. Because I've had the most success with them. NOT because they are hulky and bulky, and half naked.

I'm loving the new Delaque models. they look great and fit the original aesthetic. Cant wait to have them all painted & ready to go. Looking at the other gangs FW stuff I'm excited to see what they do for my assassins.

Already ordered Grendl and am considering some hired guns. Now I just have to finish building the rest of my gang.

Delaque has always been my gang. The new minis look nothing like 'em, but still, Delaque all the way.

Escher next.

1. Escher
2. Goliath

Imo the other gangs are nice to have but not essential for the setting. Why? Well, I grew up in the 80s and the bad guys/gals that were running around in post-apocalyptic settings like Mad Max, Fallout (e.g.: Raiders), Terminator (beginning of movie) or dystopian futures (Robocop III) had bright hair, tatoos, piercings and a bad attitude. Or In a nutshell: They were punks. Both House Escher & Goliath embody these traits and remind me of the good old 80s sci-fi. Nowadays the bad boys are gangsta-rappers who hold their guns at ludicrous angles while defending their turf. I still wait to this day when either House Escher or House Goliath will get access to the most awesome wargear manufactured in the Hive: The dreaded Ghetto-Blaster.

I put the Escher in the first place because I have a soft spot for amazons.

Van Saar. They were the gang I picked when I was a wee lad first time around as they had the cool shinies and looked like the Fremen from Dune. This time the updated look is giving me an Infinity vibe, which is a game I love the aesthetic of but really can't get along with the rules for so they were a no-brainer pick for me.

My least favourite are Goliath and Cawdor; I like them, but not as much as the other four.

Out of the other four, I play Escher, but that's because I played them the first time round. I'm finding it hard to choose otherwise.

Hard choice, im temped to say Cawdor since they look kind of blanchian. But the new Delaque give them a run for it. I really like all of the gangs this time around. Its been a real mission to even commit to one of them.

Several choices are possible.

Cawdor for me, I LOVE the new look. And the whole "build everything out of scrap" thing they have going on means they're probably the most ripe for conversions from the whole lot. I'm still in the midst of building/painting mine and having loads of fun raiding the bitz box.

Escher: I always like playing "glass cannon" factions in games, I like their mix of shooting and melee, amazingly versatile/convertible model kit, and they look great with a vibrant/individualist color scheme rather than uniform.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Genestealer cults, I get to use standard gsc models, acolyte models, orlock models, delaque models... lots of variation and while many of the gangs are pretty similar stat wise with a few small differences the gsc list really feels like something different, lacking juves and having access to abberents and pchykers. Wish we had access to an actual genestealer as a gang specific large beasty but Ill make due with ogryns and automatons.

Delaque have always been my fav, but when look at the new models gunna have to go Van Saar (I have every new box set). Delaque look so stagnant (I still have not made them, I am not looking forward to greenstuffing and posing them). However, my Van Saar soon as out of the box made all of them and they looked awesome, looked so good I ordered all the FW upgrades months later (and apart from the mix up on there is female arms and male arms) all looked good.

Van Saar by a big margin tbh.

Delaque.

They may have had the most noticeable overhaul in image, but those models just work for me.

Plus, sneaky sneaky dagger tag is usually fun!

I never played the game and I'll probably never will, but I voted for Escher, Delaque and Orlock

Their lore and visual style is most appealing to me, but if I had to choose one, It would be Delaque.

Cawdor. Nothing embodies the ridiculously over the top gothic stylings of the 40k setting like they do. Crazy death cult (now with extra candles!) that makes their weapons out of garbage in the image of an angel of the emperor that one guy's cousin's uncle's best friend's daughter's boyfriend's meth dealer saw once in a picture that got flushed down from the upper hive? Sold.
