Do you use the Necromunda gangs as proxies in other game systems like 40k (Cultists) or AoS (Marauders)?
The models are beautiful but the gangs are rather expensive if you ask me.

Yes, I use the old Gangs as Chaos Cultists. The new miniatures are a bit too big if you ask ne.

I wanted to use my Van Saar as IG Veterans.
The weapons might need a tweak, but all Las is a Lasgun, and other stuff should be OK.

Nope. The Dark Vengeance box provided me with chaos cultists. I added to that the chaos cultist box which included one of the brand new chaos champions.

I use mine as GSC neophytes or as IG conscripts. I also use one of my orlock gangers as a model for my starfinder PC

I've used gangers as Inquisitorial acolytes, and way back in 2nd edition I had an entire Imperial Guard platoon of Necromunda models - an Infantry squad and heavy weapon squad of plastic Orlocks (with heavy weapons from the old Chaos Heavy Weapon sprue), and another Infantry squad and Command squad converted from Escher. Swapping all the shotguns and autoguns for lasguns was massively annoying.

I have used mine has imperial guard. I bought enough to do the loyal 32 and have plenty of cool toys in necromunda, though I’ve only used them as guard in kill team

I use them all the time as low-lives and scum in various Sci-fi games. I even mix and match the gang members to make a more piratical look and hodge-podge look.

I am using some Goliaths as Abberants. Just glued on some GS or warrior arms. Made some hammers. Some spare Genestealer head swaps and good to go.
