With the death of the Mantic forum people are looking for a place to go. Dakka is the number one choice from what I can tell, as we already have a KOW sub-forum and a couple active N&R threads. While a bunch of refugees are KOW-specific, having a place to talk about the other games Mantic makes would be ideal ... but probably not warrant its own sub-forum. My proposal is to expand the KOW sub-forum into a Mantic Games one, which I guess the most complicated part of might be digging up the Walking Dead and Dead Zone and Warpath and so on threads from wherever they live now?

We've definitely talked about this - and if we did, likely doing the same for Privateer Press, Corvus Belli and Fantasy Flight (instead of having subforums just for their main game).

I'm all for it - if others would like to see this, please post your thoughts here!

While I see the advantages for having genre specific sub-forums, it is easier to have all the games from one company or at least all of them with the same theme in one sub-forum.
Kings of War, Vanguard, Dungeon Sage topucs should not be spread over 3 different sections (same for X-WING and SW-Legion)

Sub-fora by company works if the games are popular enough.

Having a PP, FFG, CB and Mantic subform with spots for their games would be nice, but most of those companies host their own forum so Dakkadakka might not get enough traffic to justify the extra space.

With the Mantic forum closing it sounds like a good idea for at least Mantic games though.
