Hello there.

As the title says, this thread is mainly for discussion purposes about what types of star fighters you'd like to see in future X-Wing waves. Anything from Legends content to preexisting Canon content to star fighters that haven't been invented yet, like whatever would appear in those upcoming Mandalorian and Cassian Andor live action TV shows that I've heard about.

Personally, I would like to see them (Lucasfilms/Disney) make a star fighter for ever letter of the alphabet in the English language. So far we have A-Wings (Both), B-Wings (Both), C-Wings (Legends), D-Wing (Legends), E-Wing (Both), H-Wings (Legends), K-Wings (Legends), M-Wings (Legends), T-Wings (Legends), U-Wings (Canon), V-Wings (Both), X-Wings (Both), Y-Wings and Z-Wings. (Legends? Not sure if the Headhunter counts as a Z-Wing or not.)

All they have left to do is to create F-Wings, G-Wings (not counting this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/G-Type_light_shuttle since it's a transport), I-Wings, J-Wings, L-Wings (not counting this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lethisk-class_armed_freighter for similar reasons in that it's a freighter), N-Wings, O-Wings, P-Wings, Q-Wings, R-Wings, S-Wings and W-Wings and they'll have all of them.

I was going to say that maybe they could apply the alphabet naming scheme to the many TIE variants (as in A for TIE Advanced, B for TIE Bomber, F for TIE Fighter and I for TIE Interceptor, for example) as well, but looking up TIE variants shows that there were plenty of TIE types that shared the first letter of their name with another one (such as the TIE Advanced and TIE Avenger, for example).

But that's just my idea. What would you fellows like to see get released for wave 4 and beyond of X-Wing Miniatures? Anything from Clone Wars to Galactic Civil War or whatever other material you can think of.

I am looking forward to the V-Wing release, should be good fun. For the rest of your list I beg the force to please not let them release all those alphabet ships, they were/are hideous and best left to be forgotten.
What I would like to see is the FO TIE/in from the new awful cartoon, the T-85 from the same.
For Scum I would like the Ravenclaw, Luxury Yacht 3000, Cloakshape and Dune lizard.
For Imps the TIE Avenger (the original one, the production model of the Advanced).
For the prequels I expect the ETA2.For others i would like the Hapes fighter.
For not sure which faction (Imps or Scum) the Skipray.

On parle toujours mal quand on n'a rien à dire.

I vote nay on those other alphabet (dare we say Aurebesh?) fighters. Especially since a lot of them also include in the fluff that they were relative failures. We already have those in the form of the B-Wing and the A-Wing...

Yes, I hope the V-Wing will be a nice version of the A-Wing and the TIE Interceptor, but with a darn astromech!!!

It's weird, because with all the material coming out for Star Wars... it's almost as if they are shying away from the possibility of making new toys. We get it, you'll make eleventy billion versions of the TIE fighter (with 80% of them exclusive to some retailer or other each year) but heaven forbid you give your creative people the run of the show once in a while.

...Except for the alphabet soup. Enough of that.

To be fair, they could just redesign them to look "better" if they really don't like those designs. All I'm saying is that I could see Lucasfilms/Disney going down that route if they want to cram in more ideas for Rebel Alliance/New Republic star ships.

If the development of the TIE Defender happened earlier in the Canon timeline then it did for the Legends timeline, wouldn't put it past Disney/Lucasfilms to change both the technical aspects and their date of introduction into service around. So while one ship design could be a failure in Legends, that same design could potentially work better in the canon continuity if done right.

What about a Scha-wing, amirite...

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Something besides letter-wings and TIE-whatevers, please. The design space there is already done, let's have something original for once.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
