i'm thinking of dusting of my skaven and think i want to invest in some movement trays.
i think id like to pick up some of the new style rounded ones instead of sticking them on the old rectangle trays.
do any of you use them and if so can you recommend where to pick some up?

Due to the fiddly nature of movement and how you need to be shifting models constantly, my attempts at using movement trays have ended up finding them not being as useful as I'd like.

Agreed. Early on in the game they're not too bad, but as soon as you wind up in combat, they're pretty cumbersome and close to useless IMO.

Mainly for the first couple turns and just ease of deployment. Worth every penny in that regard.

I have a friend who uses magnet strips as movement trays for each 5-10 models. When they get into combat they are easily removed and models can be moved over them etc. It beats playing against someone who does not get over turn 3 (due to moving over 200 models) in a 2u30 game.

Yeah I'm mostly interested deployment and general movement.
I realize they'll have to come off once they're in combat.

I've used them and I want to make more and better ones. Just so handy for hordes (I'm also working on Skaven). Even for carrying them to the table they save quite a bit of time, and the deployment. It's also nice for moving the first turn or two since you only have to measure once, and even for a blob of like 40 Marauders you still have to measure like 10 times for the front line and then smuch all the others behind.

There are 3D printed ones all over the place around my area but I'd say maybe get 1 or 2 that you need and make a simple mold and pour resin ones or sculpey clay duplicates. Much more cost effective if you have many models to carry, deploy, and move.

Magnet strips are nice but harder to make look good for a tabletop purpose since paint and flock can get in the way of the holding power.

I have used old WHFB movement trays to help me move large units in the beginning, but as some have mentioned, as soon as you get into combat they are a hindrance.

Would like to try some of the trays that are more cut along the lines of the bases themselves and are not square.

Being a WHFB player who occasionally plays an AOS game, ALL of my stuff is on assorted square bases & have square/rectangular movement trays for ranks/deployment/ease of moving large infantry blocks.
They work fine. I'm not pushing 20+ strong units about the table 1 model at a time....
When I'm engaged in melee (or whenever I decide that it'd be advantageous to move models out of R&F)? Then I just move models individually as needed. Works fine.

I use them in AoS and i use them in 40k. Im not about moving 30 pink horrors, or 60 chaos warriors one at a time.

To many unpainted models to count.

Yes,
I use washers on the bottoms of my figure bases,
and a magnetic sheet on the movement tray

as others have mentioned above,
I take them off when combat necessitates it
(or in friendly games just estimate the number in combat)

2 units of 60 gobbo archers each,
who try to stay OUT of combat,
NEED the trays!
