So I'm curious to learn about this game cause knights are awesome!! Just information seems to be far and few in between for this game. I found like 1 YouTube video that wasn't memes or for honor montages, but no real batreps. Any idea? I can buy the book but I'd rather learn more about it before spending the cash ya know?

I haven't played it, but I own the rules and have read them.
Players take turns activating leaders. A leader can activate units under its control (i.e. a Division Commander can activate units within its division, while the army commander can activate units within the army as a whole) by issuing orders, but each unit can only be activated once per turn. One of those orders is the Attack order. When a unit receives an Attack order, it launches a melee attack against a unit that it is in combat with. This is not simultaneous - i.e. casualties are only inflicted on the targeted unit. If the attack successfully causes the targeted unit to be Pushed Back, then the targeted unit suffers an additional follow-up attack as a result of the Push Back. However, the follow-up attack itself cannot Push Back the targeted unit. Additionally, the follow-up attack is a minimally strengthed attack and cannot receive any bonuses. As a result, casualties during the follow-up attack are likely to be light.

We have had a few games of it now, it's a good set of rules and specific to the Crusades rather than trying to shoe horn the features of the period into a Ancients / Medieval set.
There is quite a bit to them, a comprehensive set up, unit traits, commander duels etc and we started with the basics and added bits in each game.
People I game with said they are quite like Warmaster (which I haven't tried). Worth a punt.

Not a surprise if true, given who's involved with Fire Forge.
Of course, Hail Caesar also supposedly plays like Warmaster (I've played HC, but never played WM), and the Deus Vult rules appear to have quite a few differences with Hail Caesar.

You could play Kings of War: Historical as there is a Crusader list (and the figures pictured are Fireforge). However, it is not a historically rigorous rules set.

There are lots of historical games that include crusader-era army lists. But Deus Vult is explicitly built around depicting that era.
As an added note, Fireforge games has created an unusual (albeit small) assortment of army lists for the game. You can find them here -
https://fireforge-games.com/books/31-deus-vult-rulebook.html
Just click the Attachments tab mid-way down the page. Some of the lists are the sort you'd expect to see, such as Arab Dynasties or Early Crusaders. Others, such as the 12th Century Novgorod list, are a bit more unusual. Also be forewarned that while they're not painful to read, the grammar in the lists could use some work (I'm pretty sure that they were written by someone who's not a native English speaker; iirc, Fireforge is based in Italy, which would explain why).
