Any fellow wargamers on the kitsap peninsula between Bremerton and Tacoma? I'm into 40k and I'd like to try out Kill team.

I know there's a store in Tacoma, and another good one in Bremerton, just looking for folks in the local neighborhood.

At Terracrux in downtown Tacoma, I am showing up on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for Kill Team. I met a player last Saturday, and I plan to show up again this Saturday.

I know there is the toll bridge and downtown Tacoma isn't great for parking. So I understand if that is too much to deal with. I don't think there is anything on the peninsula closer than the downtown Bermerton though.

Hey thanks for responding. I meant to get down there last weekend, but something came up. I may try to come down next weekend.

No problem. I plan on bringing a 2000 point Black Legion army and a few of Kill Team rosters this weekend. If you show, cool. If not, no biggie.

The Game Matrix has 40k nights on Saturdays. Soon as I get on to first shift at my job I'll be available for gaming.

I had an good time at the game wizard in bremerton last weekend. Very nice place! Their gaming area is top notch. And I hit up the GW the weekend before that. I’ve started a Warhammer Facebook group for,gig harbor, so far just one other guy and me. I will still try to visit game matrixmand terracrux in the next month if I can. Gottta go down to Portland this weekend, though.

Got on to day shift now. I play Orks. I haven't painted them since I've been working on AoS Ironjawz. I can always stop by Terracrux or Game Matrix on Saturday's.

I've been really hoping to get some more games in, but our new baby just showed up. Hobby time seems to be the first thing to go when dad priorities are laid out.

No worries. Family always comes first and it's completely ok.

As for me, I've been playing AoS and getting back into 40k at Sunrise Village: GW store in Puyallup on South Hill. Met some really nice people and finally getting to enjoy it on a weekly basis.

Nice! I always just have to justify paying for gas and a bridge toll to head to a store, and that makes it hard to go when I don't have much spare time.

There should be a GW Store nearby or a FLGS nearby. Don't give up!

it requires a passport and travel out of the country but beyond that victoria's easy to get from where you are and has at least 2 stores with healthy pops

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

A little late but I thought I would pop in here
I am the guy who runs late night gaming on Saturdays at the game matrix. I try to show up at 3pm and we usually do not close up before at minimum 3am(as long as people want to play we keep the game area running-store side closes at 9pm). so if you need to get out of the house for some late night gaming we have tables, terrain and a great group of players.

between us we have regulars that play
.magic the gathering.

.DnD
.shadowrun
.DUST
.infinity
.classic battletech
.warmachine/hordes
.starwars legion (x-wing is a Friday night thing)
.40K
.30K
.b5 wars(and conversions for star wars/star trek)

as well as semi-regular groups for flames of war & AOS ( they usually set up big game days via their discord).

If you are interested in joining or trying some of the systems listed above several of us have spare mini's or decks for you to join in.

.

As it is a game store I recommend bringing along some food and drink if you are planning on staying for the day(I always have a roller cooler).

cheers!

There are a few places in Kitsap I could point you towards. You mentioned Game Wizards, known as Blue Sky otherwise, but there is also a store called The Comic's Keep near Fred Meyer. Avalon is in the mall in Silverdale and can be a good place as well.

I'm in Bremerton, enjoy Blue Sky in particular for its space. More of a standard 40k guy than Kill Team though. Comics Keep seems okay, but it's always like the same 3 guys in there and going in feels really awkward, like you're intruding.

Thanks guys. I played a few kill team rounds at terracrux couple weeks ago. Also a great store! I just always feel a bit bummed paying the bridge toll. Hah.

Yeah I buy a lot of stuff from blue sky because it’s a short walk from my work, but I haven’t gamed there too much.

So, not trying to hijack the thread, but figured since this is here already I'd ask in it instead of making a new thread for it.

I live in Federal Way and am just getting back into wargaming after a 3-4 year hiatus. Do any of the local stores (Local like Terra Crux, having to ride out to Tacoma for a game day is expected) have weekday players? I'm working overnights on weekends, makes getting games then nearly impossible.

Edit: Primarily looking for 40k. Just dawned on me the focus is more on kill team here, so now I do feel like I'm totally thread-jacking.

I don't know what Terra Crux's schedule is but there is a few of us that play at the Games Workshop store in Puyallup (Games Workshop: Sunrise Village). There is some people during the weekdays that play both 40K (including Kill Team) and AoS (including Warcry).

You can also check The Game Shelf in Kent, they have a miniatures' night every Tuesday. But I'm sure anyday of the week there is someone that is looking for a game.

Awesome, thanks for the information. I'll have to look into both of those soon. Just need to wait for my new stuff to arrive and get painted.
