Techpriestsupport has opened a number of movie-related threads on Geek Media that really do not need to each be their own separate thread. If the mods could consolidate these somehow, that'd be awesome.

It really is a bit much, and most seem variations of the same thing.

I concur. As much as I enjoy the content therein, there is a lot of duplication, and the topic discussion is so fleeting - a page or less - a single consolidated thread would make a lot more sense.
Otherwise, the future is going to be someone creating a thread every time they watch an old movie on Netflix.

Yeah, I'd cast another vote towards them being consolidated. It's a bad precedent to set if we allow users to spam too many of the same types of threads that eats up like half the page. We don't want another Onething on our hands again.

+1.
I considered making a "Movie Thread for all the Niches that aren't specifically covered in all the other movie threads" thread, but figured it wouldn't be constructive.

Can we consolidate some of his other posts too? I mean, 152 threads started out of only 997 posts, that's a ridiculous new thread rate. And it seems like every section I look at has 4-5 new Techpriestsupport threads in the top few.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

I don't think they need to be consolidated. It's nice to have a bunch of lively threads going, and I doubt the conversations will survive a massive thread consolidation.

Some of the threads don't need consolidation, like the Dune thread. With production of that movie about to go in full swing we will need a dedicated thread for that movie from now on.

+1 on instituting broad, blanket rules designed to stop new members interacting with the community.
What this forum needs more of is people who don't play the games, but spend all day every day posting about how terrible they are.

I agree with the OP, this isn't 4chan we don't need a dozen spam threads.
