Read the rulebook (and errata)? It clearly explains how many CP you start with and how many CP each detachment takes.

Rulebook Errata: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/warhammer_40000_rulebook_en.pdf

Page 242 explains how Battle-forged armies work, you specifically want paragraph 2 under the heading "Command Points".

heck of a lot of words when you could have said " X Command Points."

I agree with the reaction, but it's not really a YMDC question unless there's a point of contention you have that is not clear?

I mean the straight answer is either 11 or 14 depending if you are battleforged

Okay people, did some cleaning up and I would like to remind everybody that Rule #1, being polite, is not optional. Any further flinging of insults or spam will be met with warnings and suspensions.

He pointed you to where you can find the rules because the rules on this are pretty clear.

We are not a substitute for the rulebooks mate.

Teach a man to fish. BCB's bedside manner is a little lacking, but I agree with the sentiment.

Plus, it helps when you roll up to a game and say you have X command points, and your opponent questions you. If we just told you "14", then you'd have trouble explaining to your opponent why.
