Hey everyone,

I've just gotten back into 40k, This list doesn't have the Chapter approved alterations but I'll fix it up when i snag that book. Not looking to be competitive but its always fun to blow stuff up.

The list is pretty self explanatory. I am enjoying bug wizards, almost smite spam but with enough screens and saves to keep me trucking. Im low on anti tank but that seems to just be the stat of affairs for any list without a rupture cannon. I plan to float this brain ball around and create a mind fortress. I feel really good about my ability to keep those brain vampires(zoanthropes) alive and protecting the neuros. The tervigon should keep Termis spawning and creating more screens. The Maleceptor is just the most fun unit I've ever played with a mac truck with an invulnerable save and a brain nuke.

I don't plan to use every smite every turn but it will be possible. Power placement is the key strategy i need to look into. Who gets what powers?

Let me know what you think?

Pretty sure those troops have to be taken in increments of 10, don't they? Like 10, 20, or 30 Termagaunts?

Just so you're aware, tervigons spawning termagants aren't the greatest in this edition. The problem is that for them to create a new unit of termagants, you need to have set aside points for the unit when building your list.
For example if you want your tervigon to create one unit of termagants during the game, then you can only build a 1960 point list instead of 2000, then use those spare 40 points during the game to make your unit.

Respawning casualties within a unit however is free. So if one of your units of 15 termagants was shot down to 5 guys left, a nearby tervigon could add the 10 casualties back into it for free.

No, they can be any number between 10 and 30.

Yeah, I am only going to be respawing with her. She is basically another healer to protect the brain bug shield of bodies and wound screens.

Looks like a fun idea. A few things you might consider: Kronos is the Psycher killer Fleet But it is also a good shooting fleet. So one thing I would definately consider is because you have the Kronos High Command, you could run the rest as a more infantry friendly Fleet (like Kraken) two, if you stay one Fleet (more fluffy anyway) Rippers are one of the best buddies of Kronos, as they can grab VP and get units "within X of" easily. Also if Kronos is how you go, then Stealers are more of a counter charging unit, so you could drop one brood, and spend on some long range shooting. For Tyranids in general, and Kronos in specific, you Really want a unit of Hive Guard, x3-6 as the heart of your shooting power.

Good luck! And welcome to the Hive Mind!
