OK, so after a many month hiatus from Space Marines (and well 40K overall), I've returned back to finally just consolidating all of my space marines (except for maybe Betrayal at Calth) to Dark Angels. I bought a Repulsor the day it came out because I really liked the way it look and was super pumped on both Primaris as well as Dark Angels at that time. Well, before/during my recent marriage and resulting move to a house, it seems as though the Ironhail Heavy Stubber on the main turret broke off. There's no reason to look for it as it's definitely long gone now.

While I could probably cut what little is left off the main turret and buy new bits, before I do that, I was wondering, what are the WYSIWYG rules for this particular model. Do I need to buy new buy new bits to use it in a tournament? Can I count the Pintle Mount Ironhail Heavy Stubber as the required weapon for the tank instead leaving the pintle mount gun slot open on the FOC? If I was playing against you in a casual game, would you allow me to count the broken off Ironhail Heavy Stubber as being there? Would a tournament allow me to count it as being there even though it's not?

Thanks

SG

Didn't need that whole bit of personal stuff, but if it's the main gun you should be ok, if the hull as actually broke and it's shorter than normal I'd personally allow it, but you'd have to be a bit generous with LoS.

BRB page 932 - "If you break part of a model due to putting it in storage whilst you concentrate on dating then this will not affect the model's WYSIWYG status UNLESS you later end up marrying the person whom you were dating".

Sorry, the rule are quite clear on this one.

On a serious note, 99% of tournaments and casual games only care that the weapon are represented and no obvious modeling for advantage is going on. Even then, casual games will often be ok with you just telling them what weapons your repulsor has. I've fought plenty of tanks in which the laser cannons suddenly morphed into plasma cannons pre-game. So long as I don't find out about it mid-game I just don't care.

Dude, should be fine. If not, just grab up what you can of the model and show it to the guy.

You might find someone that can help you fix it.

Yeah, I'm sure he brought up having a wife just to make himself look better than you and seem like a cool guy.

Sorry, Bro, but I spoke with Games Workshop Legal, and you are obliged to incinerate that damaged model forthwith.

If you still wish to field one, you need to buy another one, along with an official Games Workshop carrying case to protect it.

I wonder if I could use a Heavy Stubber from one of my IK kits. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks in advance

WYSIWYG is not a rule. As far as the rules are concerned as long as you're using a Citadel Repulsor model to represent a Repulsor datasheet, you're free to do as you please regarding armament. Anything beyond that are house rules, period.

I am definitely using a Citadel Repulsor model to reqpresent the Repulose datasheet. It's just a matter of a weapon breaking off the turret.

Thanks again

While this is true, it is also good etiquette to make things reasonably simple for your opponent in knowing what gear your models have.

When in doubt, just talk to your opponent!

Then you are totally golden/kosher/acceptable so far as the rules are concerned.
