Just a quick question regarding matte varnishes , I have heard alot of horror stories regarding them and frosting but thankfully I haven't experienced it myself however I still haven't managed to get that real dry matte look I'm searching for . I have tried vallejos matte , both airbrush and paint on with multiple coats but to no success so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what i could try (uk based) any photo examples would be even better.
Thanks

I picked up a bottle of Ultra Matte varnish from AK interactive recently. I planning on giving it a try this weekend. See the difference here: https://youtu.be/XYHap2-693A?t=192

Thanks for the suggestion , the example in his video seems exactly the finish I'm looking for . I will have to see if I can find some online to give it a try . Another I was considering trying was the daler rowney matte as well .

I tested the AK Ultra Matte this afternoon on a old Dark Angel. Completely matte after it dried. Not a hint of a satin finish. I won't use anything else now. I know you are in the UK but I found it on Amazon here in the US.

I swear on AK Interactive Ultra matt as well. The finish it leaves is dead flat. Also it's easy to use even with a brush.
