Hi everyone. I'm getting back into warhammer once again after a big brake of about 10 years. I've been into the hobby since I was 8 or 9 years old thanks to my old mates Dad giving me a blood bowl figure and I sort of went from there. Then Lord of the rings came out, GW did a magazine were you got the warhammer with it, I got a subscription to that. Then I went to a warhammer club playing 40k. I had quite a few armies on the go, started out with Eldar, then went nuts and had every army apart from Necrons and Tau.

I'm a bit iffy this time round tho. Mainly because I know how expensive it can be, turning into wanting more and more. My main passion is the lore/fluff side of the hobby. After I sold every model I owned, it took me a while but I still read the stories. Probably because there's nothing that comes close to the 40k universe, not even star wars.

So the reason I'm doing this is to dabble in a little fluff and contribute to that section. Obviously I'll make a few threads to ask questions, which the answers will help fuel my story. I haven't got to the stage where I do character bios and plots yet, but it's floating around my head. I think I need to get into my 40k books again, maybe even buy some new ones, some Rough Traders book will probably be my next pick since I do need to educate myself on day to day space travel stuff.

So a hammered overview of my fluff\story would be - treasure\loot, numerous IG regiments, SM, jungles, mines, Rough Trader Inquisitor. Anyway that's me. See you around.

Gone-to-ground in the craters of Coventry

Hi there, welcome back to the War.

There is a lot of fluff around on here, if you dive into the Background threads.
The Painting and Modelling might have a bit too, based around the models being built.
Be wary of going into the Off-Topic area, as you'll find little fluff there, and not a lot else.

Anyway... Dive in, post up, and ask away.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
