Hi all,

Just finished a gap filling tutorial using green stuff. I’m hoping that it’s useful, especially to those who may be new to the hobby and not as confident with using green stuff! Let me know what you think.

How does everyone here use green stuff?

First of all, you should drop it to p&m tutorials.
Second thing, going to the tutorial, water is ok for beginning when you mixing two parts, but I recommend glycerine, it ease smoothing. But maybe it's better for beginners to use water only.
Also gs got a little shrinkage while drying, it's good to leave a little bit more on model, and clean it up after its dried.
The third thing is the light that you use, probably it's fluorescent bulb, it makes these "stripes". You are filming probably on 30fps and fluorescent bulb work on 60hz from what I remember. Try to change the light for normal bulbs (I can recommend photographic bulbs).
Anyway, good tutorial, congrats.

Thanks for the tips! I removed the bulb later on in the footage as I watched it back. Unfortunately the work had already been done but I’ll remember for next time! I was filming at 4K60FPS but then scaled down to 1080 30 so probably why!

I’ll make sure I drop tutorials into the right section as well
