Slaves to Darkness would be my favorite lookwise, they are very bad. But i read codex coming up. True? Would fix?

Skaven has some models that are old, are bad but i love them. I read 2 army box coming up (skaven and other), and maybe codex?

Nurgle are cool... but i'm not into weird blobby things...

IronJawz are cool and the only faction besides humanoids i can CUSTOMIZE, which i love. Few model selection, strong but too simple of a play...

Slaves to darkness - very not competitive. New book fix? Until we see the book no one can answer that. If they make another balanced book then the answer is no it won't fix their competitiveness since you'll still get owned by the daddy OP lists.

Skaven - supposedly new codex coming. Same with slaves to darkness - their competiitive viability will depend on what GW does with the codex.

Ironjaws - also not really competitive. Middle tier.

Nurgle is competitive, but are going to struggle against things like the bent Daughters of Khaine or Legion of Nagash.

What about Khorne? They're humanoids at least which is what i want... But i want a complex faction

Khorne is mostly not competitive. They are at best in the middle.

Ok i decided to go KoRn. Starter is great all minis are useful, seems easy to hit 1k, i get to paint humanoids (flesh& armor) and will hit 2k without more units to get for versatility and fun.

I'll prolly go Nurgle after with more experience painting and god will modding which is my passion, dunno how but mess with green rubber and parts bought of e-bay become main developing army, has great starter too.

If you go Korn, you might what to consider getting some deamons too, as all the dark gods generate points throughout the game that lets them summon deamons. I believe that Korn can use these point in other ways, but I have heard that summoning is generally considered the best use for the points.

To those that say there is no stupid questions I say, "Is this a stupid question?"

Khorne is one of those factions that has a wide range of beautiful miniatures with each bringing something to the table and are a joy to paint.

Bad part is that if you are thinking of winning or being competitive you are pretty much going to run only Bloodletters and Thirsters. Blades of Khorne is not in a good place now compared to many of the newer offerings. Who knows, maybe they'll be helped with a 20% point reduction across the board next GH. Doubt it though.

Well i saw a paint tutorial on Nurgle units, a regular blitz took 27 paints and so much work due to the blobs on the flesh etc.

I feel bad starting them off with a mediocre paint job whilst Korn are much easier and i practice and indeed see if i can make a 2k army without emoquiting or something.

Same with skaven and the more investing i want if i later choose to colect them.

With all this in mind i'm going Korne

Fakk i really wanna play Skaven but WHEN IS CODEX COMING and new minis some still only on fking metal blisters.......

Khorne can be pretty darn strong in my experiences against them. Mortals especially as many of the heroes can buff 3 units with one ability or have auras. Example, Bloodsecrator, then have an Aspiring Deathbringer and Wrathmongers behind a bunch of Skull Reapers with Daemonblades, and a Jugger Lord and Mighty Lord of Khorne AND a Bloodstoker. Toss in a Slaughter Priest. Gore Pilgrims is awesome though, but could still get in 3 of those other heroes with that.
