57 pages to slog through, but there's a spreadsheet you can download ("Download Sale List") then sort. It's the rulebooks and tokens that are the most discounted.

Now that GW has stopped shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly with a bolter, this seems to be further evidence that GWs resurgence has come at the expense of other players in the industry.

Hopefully PP can right the ship for WMH before it is too late. I don't know much about WMH, but my impression from reading about it online is that the newest ruleset drove away most people, it is hard to get new people into a game where you spend the first year getting tabled, and their miniature quality is pretty atrocious (Sedition Wars level PVC at primo prices)

Is there anyway to tell at miniature market if the WMH miniatures are metal (good) or PVC (bad) for someone unfamiliar with the range?

Huh, some deep discounts on some of that stuff, but I noticed they still aren't paying me to take it so that's still a pass from me.

if you go to the gallery section on the PP site, it will generally list the material of the model down under the picture on each page
a great deal of stuff is just metal or metal/resin anymore

while some of the prices on the sale are not much of a sale, i was able to snag a few of the things i still needed for my trollbloods

Outside of their faction starters and the boardgame/RPG plastics none of their stuff is PVC. They use a spin cast resin. Even the plastics they do have is no where near as bad as sedition wars though the MK3 faction starters are a very hard, pain to work with plastics, so a lot of people just assume that's how everything is I guess.

They basically abandoned the plastics after the Mk3 starters, but a lot of stuff before that was in that terrible plastic. Stuff like the majority of Convergence and Retribution models. They redid a lot of the standard troops in that terrible plastic, like the Man-O-Wars, bane knights, storm lances, and stuff. To my knowledge, they haven't replaced these with resin yet. Depending on the faction, you might not be able to avoid their crap plastic models. I'm also suspicious of anybody who says these models are not that bad. They are that bad. They are pure crap.

That being said, they did try out polystyrene plastic (still on the sprue even) for a few of the heavy warjacks. I picked one up, and while it wasn't GW good, it was miles ahead of the crap plastic stuff. I haven't experienced any resin models in Warmachine, but owning basically the entire Monsterpocalypse line, I think their resin models there are pretty darn good.

Agreed. Monpoc stuff is nicer than anything I ever got from forgeworld, and miles ahead of the last warmachine stuff I got (granted it was years ago...)

Very sharp and smooth.

I will happily pay shipping for anyone looking to get rid of the "crappy" plastic. I'm pretty happy with PP's plastic minis, although not with the prices PP thinks they can charge for them.

Grabbed a few items, but none of which to use in a WMH game. I can't really see myself having to try and wade through a whole new ruleset to get some games in. The undead pirate miniatures and the Crucible Guard Rocketmen are quite nice though.

The problem with the sprue plastics was just that they didn't have control of overseas production. Just judging from announced rules to model release, it appears those kits were regularly being delayed a couple years from when PP wanted and with some big problems. Their "skipped leg day" aesthetic doesn't translate super well to sprue plastic and I think the quality of the final Hydra probably made them abandon the material entirely. It doesn't hurt that I'm pretty convinced that they're best in class with resin right now. They've got the parts breakdown between large resin blocks and fine metal details pretty perfectly and some of the resin kits I've gotten are easily some of my favorite models they've ever done.

Also, in terms of the sale; MM used to do these things all the time back when there was no MRPP. I own a pretty large Convergence army from one of them. Honestly, outside of a few crazy deals, most of this stuff is still more expensive than it was pre-MRPP. There's a bunch of stuff I nearly jumped on before I realized it was only a couple bucks less than what I could get it for elsewhere. Definitely some good deals to be had if you do some digging, but a lot of the crazy stuff is in things like Mk2 token sets, 2 man unit add ons and other stuff that's just warehouse fodder.

I'll chime in that i also have been really happy with their model breakdown using resin/metal
Assembled a box of Northkin Raiders a few weeks ago, and the casting was very crisp and cleanup with for the most part pretty easy

Yeah, this is one of the kits that really wowed me for sure. I think they're probably the best looking 10 man sculpt in the faction and really nail the appeal of trolls as a faction.

They lost me with the shift to dubious material at prime costs so I do not even want to go through the discounts sheet to check if things are in a viable material.

I can take bad rules, repeated models in the boxes, silly company dramas & prices if the miniatures have quality. The thing I detest the most is the same army with inconsistent quality levels I mean those starters are bad.

Loved the old metal trolls though.

The apparent downturn seems to have coincided with the new edition of 40K in recent years. GW really knocking it out of the park recently has probably reduced the level of disposable income that can go to other stuff like PP of a lot of people. What really lost interest for me was around the time of the new ruleset but primarily the faction release for Grymkin; don't know if anybody else feels this way but that faction was a total misfire in my opinion

A grudge never too old to settle with metal and ire on the funeral pyre of vanquished foe

I picked up the Hordes: Minions - Farrow Brigands/Farrow Commandos Unit and Hordes: Minions - Farrow Slaughterhousers Unit Box. Im going to convert them into a Chaos Beastmen Blood Bowl team of Boar's.

at those prices....why not?

Grymkin looks more like something that Wyrd would release instead. Nothing wrong with a company wanting to expand to other things but it just left me cold.

I’m fond of Grymkin though I like the infantry more than the beasts. I wish they were a little more whimsical like the upcoming clockatrice. They also feel like they would have worked better post infernals but they’re still rather neat.
