I like it overall, mostly I would just change up some of the weapon options:

If the Myrmidons aren't riding with Decima in the Macrocarid, they'll need one of the Triaroses more than the Thallax do. Expect the Myrmidons to get one round of shooting before they get blown off the board, though. I run a volkite unit of the heavy Myrmidons, and that always happens to me. They get to nearly delete a full 20-man squad most of the time before they go, though.

Between the Macrocarid and the Krios squadrons, I think you'll likely be set for anti-armor capabilities, so I would give the Thallax units plasma instead of melta (especially if your local meta runs with ceramite armor). Apart from the Myrmidons, you don't have a lot of anti-infantry firepower. While lightning guns look good on paper, they're really not that good at killing marines in significant numbers. Plus, the plasma really benefits from the Thallax's penalties to cover saves, so you'll really want them shooting the enemy infantry. The Destructor upgrade is still worthwhile if you can score side and rear shots on tanks, when needed. On the other hand, if your local meta runs lots of tanks, maybe you need the melta more?

Unless you just had the points to burn, I wouldn't bother with Paragon of Metal on a single Vorax. Just let him do his thing. I often take three of them, outflank them, and just let them run loose. They're a great distraction that the opponent can't afford to ignore, and they're cheap.

Thank you. We have a pretty good mix of marine armor in our group, which Is why I prefer the meltas on the Thallax.

But yes, the Mymidons would be riding with Caleb.

I have tried Irad-cleansers but have been under whelmed every time.

The Vorax was really a point filler but definitely open to suggestions.

Might swap one of the Krios squadrons for some artillery; you're already in the Ordo Reductor so you've got the Reductor artillery tanks, and if you see any large infantry blocks a pair of Medusas probably does more for you than extra Venator plasma-fusils.

I would probably ditch the transports for the Thallax units. They can deep strike in behind vehicles, get that sweet rear arc melta action. Having them in transports also slows them down quite a bit, since they can't do their jump shenanigans.

Also, I know Tech Thralls are like the most boring thing ever, but they are so, so, so good. I ALWAYS run 2 x 20 man squads, whatever Mechanicum list I use. Even without transports they are still good if you can plant them on an objective.

Secutors are cool, but I've found that they rarely do well. Destructors are much better imo. I run a 5 man unit, all with Photon Thrusters, as long ranged fire support. They do very well. This way you can ditch the Macrocarid, and use those points for the stuff below.

Like the above guy says, go for some artillery. That's sort of what you go Reductor for, at least I do. Two Medusas with Phosphex is great. Equip them with Machine Spirits and the reinforced front armour for some fast, heavy hitting pieces.

Finally, that single Vorax won't get much done. Upgrade it to an Alterax instead.

Alpharius? Never heard of him.

I'd swap that Vorax for an Arlatax with paragon of metal instead. It's more points but they are tougher, better in melee and faster consistently. They also don't have a model so you can go crazy converting them up.

I have considered the Arlatax as I have Scoria as well, but I wanted flexibility with my Kairos squads and only have about 100pts to spend. Rampaging Vorax I can slam into marines or maybe something light armored.

I don’t have Medusa/Minotaurs, so I changed back to the regular Taghmata build but keep Caleb.

I like the Thallax having the ability to ride if needed, but otherwise the pain trains are there to provide cover for my Macrocarid.

And I have caught myself without troops to grab objectives, so bringing the Phalanx of Thallax.

Spare 45 points for the decima invictus upgrade!
It turns his curse of the omnissiah shot into a real threat as opposed to a real threat to himself
I second the deep strike the thallax idea; it's my MO - usually in teams of three so i have wiggle room if the first dude scatters next to a wall, enemy or table edge

You said you want to stop things getting fired at your macrocarid - well, your secutors are (in the absence of Arlatax) your distraction carnifex. Make a big deal about putting them in a triaros and having it front and centre so it can move toward a group of marines, they can get out and collanderize anything within 36" of where the triaros started - i like that it also protects them if you don't get first turn for whatever reason.

I can recommend leaving one group of thallax in the middle to keep infiltrators away and giving them a photon thruster so they can reach out and touch something waaay away (another potential distraction with the blind rule for minor headaches)

Maybe drop a group of fearless thralls in a triaros to rush forward to an objective?

The Ordo Reductor - the guy's who make wonderful things like the Landraider Achillies, but can't use them in battle..
