Hello Everyone! My group of friends and I are running a campaign for the very first time and I thought I would share it with everyone on DakkaDakka for posterity/fun/criteques/yadda/yadda. If i am in the wrong section I will happily move it but this has a mix of story/battle reports! This will likely get updated every other week with the battle reports and story updates. So... here we go! We are playing with narrative, power level, custom heroes (4 abilities) rules as well as a custom injury table for the custom heroes (they can permanently die in they are removed as a casualty from combat). The battles will use the vigilus battlezones and missions, with a mix of CA 2018 missions thrown in. So narrative wise that will be shown with the objectives and whatever the natural phenomenon is affecting the battle.

The first couple battle reports will be at 40 power level. The battle map and zone will be Data Recovery and Wasteland Duststorm. From there each battle will be different for narrative purposes.

Prologue:

When the Cicatrix Maledictum (Great Rift) tore into reality and sundered the galaxy in half, those on the half separated from Holy Terra were cast into darkness as the light of the Astronomican was extinguished for them. Intermittent contact has since been regained and worlds such as Vigilus maintain the physical connection between the two, essentially separated, realms.

Cultio is a system with an important agri-world and hive city providing food and bodies to the Imperial war machine, specifically the former Cadian Gate. That responsibility has since shifted to providing Vigilus with resources as it is now the main bastion world between the two halves of the galaxy. The battles on Vigilus have had little effect on the tithes of food and men provided to the Imperium since contact was reestablished.
In the past Cultio has been a relevantly ignored region of space, with the focus of war being centered around more important neighboring systems such as Cadia and Baal. It has no renown of its own, such as the neighboring Astra Militarum regiments of the Valhallans, besides what it provides to the Imperium in resources and raw manpower.
However, war appears to be coming to the unprepared Cultio system. Astropaths have begun to have terrible hallucinations whispering voices speaking of power hidden with the system and visions of the Agri-worlds alight with fire, of limbs and corpses being plowed like wheat and the very earth warping and twisting. Rumors of a fanatical cult deep within the hive cities of Cultio Prime, which have circulated for years, are now spoken about in hushed tones amongst the ruling nobles for fear it has some hand in these visions. With resources stretched thin to feed the ever-increasing needs of the Vigilus system, Cultio sits exposed.

Army Backstories

The Fecund Ones
Led by Daemon Prince Famis - The Herald of Putrefaction

The Fecund Ones vectorum is well known for engineering plagues that specialize in famine that will devastate the imperium’s agri worlds.. The roving warbands of the 7th plague company harness their alchemical expertise to create concoctions that result in blight and drought for worlds they invade.

It is not uncommon to see Demons of Nurgle accompanying the Fecund Ones as they spew their filth and plagues over the crops of the imperium. Keeping tally and notes as they seek to gain the blessings of Grandfather Nurgle and spread the joy his gifts bring in hopes of remaking worlds in the image of the Garden of Nurgle.

Their smaller initial forces are meant to sow discord and chaos into rural populations and poison those that eat the agri worlds reapings. Before they are discovered the world normally has waves of poxwalkers from the plagues the Fecund Ones have infused into the supply chain.
This normally has a catastrophic ripple effect and leads to further invasions to the neighboring worlds in their weakened and starved state.

This Warband is lead by the Demon Prince, Famis the Herald of Putrefaction.

Rapturous Screamers
Led by Daemon Prince and Princess, Nero The Beguiler of Supplicants & Aggripina Heart-Piercer

Before Old Night began, known as the Age of Strife to Imperial Scholars, humanity experienced a golden age known as the Age of Technology. During this time a new mutation in humanity began to appear, marking the appearance of psychers being born on every human world. Two particular psychers were born to a planet unaccepting of their gifts, Nero and Agrippina. These names are simply part of the Daemon names, no one knows their true ones. They harken back to ages past in human history, a descriptor to go along with their titles. What is known however, is that both were born into nobility and privilege in allied families who had the resources and power to assure their childrens gifts were hidden. The stories that survive to this day, what few remain, tell a tale of Nero and Agrippina being petulant and selfish, using their gifts for their own gain and desires. Traits that would one day lead them into the arms of the ruinous powers, spelling doom for their system and peoples but ascension to Daemonhood for them.

They overthrew the demarchy government, poisoning the entirety of the governing body during a celebration. They seized control during the upheaval, in exchange for security and peace, becoming the Emperor and Empress of their world. Instead, they started an interplanetary war to subjugate the rest of their solar system, killing billions in the process. Consumed in their power but always wanting more, Agrippina began bathing in the blood of virgins to retain her youthful complexion. While Nero consumed his time with expanding his psychic powers by day and engaging in rage, drug fueled orgies by night with ceremonial killings. All of this activity finally caught the attention of the Chaos God Slaanesh. In exchange for their souls and the assurance they would continue the raging debauchery they had wrought upon their system for eternity, Slaanesh granted the couple Daemonhood, all the power and eternal life they had both ever desired.

In the Cultio system, a warp storm rips open in space, spinning above like a sun, and the Daemons of Slaanesh began to pour forth. The future arrival of Nero & Agrippina, Daemon Prince and Princess of She Who Thirsts, are heralded by the initial cavalcade that race through into reality. A chorus of excessively loud music is accompanied by the screaming of their names in power metal falsetto to praise their future arrival and the pleasures they will wrought upon this reality.

Blood Angel 3rd Company - Ironhelms

Led by Captain Gadriel, Hero of the 3rd

+++++After the devastation of Baal the 3rd company under the command of Cpt. Gadriel was tasked to resume operations in the Culito system. While in transit to the system in the cruiser Baal's pride, the 3rd company was attacked by demons. They managed to drive the demons of the cruiser but a combination of recent heavy fighting has seen a higher than usual number of Blood Angels fall to the black rage and be transferred to the Death Company including their captain. With the blessing of Chapter master Dante , Captain Gadriel is to hold command of the 3rd company till killed in combat.++++++++

Grey Knights - 9th Brotherhood, “The Hammer”
Led by Grand Master Kaladyn, “Stormblessed”

Before being appointed by Aldrik Voldus as Grand Master of the 9th, Kaladyn served as a Paragon in the 3rd Brotherhood under Warden Doriam Narathem during the Eye of Terror campaign. It is here where he gained recognition in services to the Grey Knights and the Emperor. He was often given the vital roles under Narathem, an ambitious leader of the Wardmakers. During the demonic incursion of the fortress world of Longhallow, Kaladyn was assigned the most sacred of missions. To extract the precious relics hidden deep within the frozen terrain of the planet. Here the Brotherhood came across their greatest foe yet…

Longhallow, a bitter cold world surrounded by intricate mountain ranges stretching from one fortress to another. Huge glaciers filling all the major bodies of water, so cold it appeared purple and black. The frost on the rocks, trees, and road systems so frozen that they had a translucent depth to them. The planet was as beautiful as it was deadly. The imperium used massive fortresses to continue operations and didn’t want to risk exposure to the elements. With the lack of transportation, communications between the massive city forts became silent, slowly but surely the imperium began ignoring Longhallow and allocating resources elsewhere. The polar vortex that recently began on Longhallow appeared to have started like every other, however weeks pass and the imperium calls for an evacuation. Only those who were mission critical stayed behind to continue harvesting resources and maintaining the fortresses. Then came… the storm of storms.

Black clouds descended onto Longhallow seemingly ignoring the hurricane winds of the vortex, lightning crackling through the air so hot and vibrant that it melted centuries of permafrost in mere seconds. What followed after would be as intense and terrifying as the dancing storms. An incredible host of demons tear through the gateway and begin their assault on the imperium fortresses. The only hope for the planet was the emergency response system and a swift counter attack by the Wardmakers, the closest Grey Knights Brotherhood.

In a rush Kaladyn assembled the Paladin and Interceptor teams, but was approached by Doriam Narathem and Aldrik Voldus. Warden Voldus was a humble man that spent most of his time in training, but in combat he is unrivaled in the psychic phases of war. The very air crackles around him as he focuses his mind and bends the colossal energies of the warp to his will. At the meeting Narathem and Voldus tell Kaladyn about the precious relics and their importance. Kaladyn, usually the first to use the teleportarium chambers and create a safe landing zone for the 3rd Brotherhood was tasked with locating and extracting the sacred materials, while Narathem and Voldus created the space to fight off the massive host.

Kaladyn and his infamous Paladin squad, “The Hammer”, landed and began their operation with little distraction. In the distance however, they heard and saw a magnificent battlefield in concert with demonic screams and thunder. Heavy barrages of cannons and storm bolter fire fill the land igniting the frozen terrain with shattering volleys. Everything was going to plan and the extraction teams located the sacred relics, but as soon as they made contact Kaladyn heard a nefarious whisper. As soon as the whisper silenced, a dark star crashed and tore everything underneath off the axis, reality began to slip, and out came a legendary Greater Demon, The Lord of Change, M’kachen. Kaladyn, phasing in and out of reality was approached by his most loyal friend and Apothecary for orders, seconds turned into hours. Finally, Kaladyn grabbed a hold of his will, but Warden Voldus used, “Gates of Infinity” and summoned the Paragon of the Wardmakers into the fray. Doriam Narathem was slumped over and standing over him was the massively vile Lord of Change. M’kachen summoned the, “Baleful Sword”, to finish off the deed, but during the swing there was a massive explosion of energy and a river of light that followed. Kaladyn, with his hammer, “needs a name” stopped the blow, but not without being wounded himself. With gasping breath the Warden and Paragon chant, “Sanctuary”.

It was Voldus who unleashed the full force of his psychic power on the Greater Demon. Perhaps guided by the pure empiric light, Supreme Grand Master Kaldor Draigo emerged from the immaterium and joined the battle. With their wills united, the two Grey Knights banished M’kachen, sending him writhing back beyond the veil. Kaldor Draigo and Aldrik Voldus cleared out the remaining host enough to protect the fallen Warden. Kaladyn, holding his dear mentor and champion in his arms, gave him his final blessing, “The Purity of Spirit.” Warden Doriam Narathem grinned at Kaladyn, closed his eyes, and took his last breath. There in the frozen hell the 3rd Brotherhood suffered great casualties, but none far worse than losing Narathem, who was given the rank of Grand Master, the first to be given this honor in death.

Draigo, Kaladyn, and Voldus used the, “Gates of Infinity”, to clear the entire Wardmakers Brotherhood off Longhallow and to safety… The planet was lost.

In the wake of the battle, Supreme Grand Master Draigo himself appointed the humble Voldus to the rank of Grand Master, lauding his exceptional heroism and psychic prowess. Even as Draigo’s curse took hold and he began to fade from realspace, Voldus swore an oath to live up to this great honor, one of which he did not truly believe himself worthy. Before Draigo vanished into the abyss, he whispered to Voldus and during the embrace looked towards Kaladyn with glowing pride.

Grand Master Voldus the Warden of Librarius, replacing the fallen Doriam Narathem of the 3rd Brotherhood graciously followed Draigo’s orders to create a new Brotherhood, “The Hammer”. With unanimous approval, Kaladyn was given the rank of Grand Master of the 9th. Kaladyn, also given the name, “Stormblessed”, due to the unexplained explosion and river of light that surrounded him and Narathem during the final moments on Longhallow. After that encounter Voldus has always studied the newly appointed Grand Master with mysticism, for he is the only one that truly saw the, “Baleful Sword”, cut through Kaladyn’s hammer, hitting him directly in the chest. Nobody should have survived that mortal wound, but maybe this is why Kaladyn continues to hear the whispers..

Angels to the rescue

The Cults of Cultio, only whispered about before, became a incessant buzzing in the cities as crops failed and disease became wide-spread throughout the planet. This was only just the beginning... Those that were unaware of the tainted crops or whom were starving and did not care, suffered a fate worse than death. They became reanimated corpses, their bloated flesh full of wriggling maggots as they stumbled forward like an implacable tide of disease and death. While the home grown contingent of Astra Militarum was successful in combating these hordes, it soon became evident this was simply a first stage to the horrors that would come to Cultio. Appearing from the darkness of space, a fleet of Death Guard ships, rusted and decayed from millenium of use - with pockmarks on the hulls as if they were infected with the same diseases running rampant in the planetary system made their way toward Cultio Prime. Mortarion’s Fecund Ones had arrived…

While the local regiments of the Astra Militarum and Militias had managed to hold the diseased tide of Poxwalkers at bay, the Death Guard making their presence known changed the course of the conflict. From space they plowed through the light orbital defenses and ships available with their battle barges before bombarding the planets protectors for weeks. Finally they descended down to the planet to brutally mop up resistance and continue to spread the work of Nurgle into the civilian population they had avoided bombing for just this purpose.

With their defense forces encircled, battered and slowly being crushed by the attritional, plodding Death Guard forces the defenders believed their inevitable doom was in sight. With all hope nearly lost, a hole into the twisting, chaotic realm of the warp ripped open at the edge of the Cultio system. Out poured the Battle Barges and support vessels of the Blood Angels 3rd Company - The Iron Helms led by Captain Gadriel. A burst of static through the vox of the defenders prefaced Captain Gadriel broadcasting a message of hope and support to the Imperial citizens of Cultio. “Imperial Citizens - I am Captain Gadriel, commander of the 3rd Company of the Blood Angels Adeptus Astartes. Fear not, for the Emperor’s wrath has come for these traitors! The Emperor Protects!” This came as a shock to the Fecund Ones, who had assumed the Blood Angels were still engaged in a bitter battle within their home system of Baal with Hive Fleet Leviathan.

Within no time the Iron Helms had engaged the Death Guard fleet orbiting above Cultio, the Blood Angels Battle Barges ramming through the support vessels of the marauder Death Guard fleet as if they were paper, forcing their fleet to disengage to preserve their precious, millenia old Battle Barges. Drop pods and Thunderhawk Gunships rained down upon the planet, full of Astartes reinforcements to take the battle to these traitors with their righteous fury. Initial combat, having caught the Death Guard by surprise and inspiring the local forces into even fiercer resistance, favored the Blood Angels.

As is typical of Mortarion’s sons, they held their ground steadfastly against the tides of Imperial reinforcements and ground the war into battles of attrition. However, the Blood Angels Apothecaries had created a cure to the diseases the Death Guard had infested the planet with. While in transit to the surface, the Thunderhawk Gunship carrying this important cargo was mysteriously taken down from the sky, landing in a no mans land and scattering the contents. An elite force of Death Company and Sanguinary Guard were tasked with retrieving these vital assets.

Prelude and Set-Up

An elite force of Blood Angels were sent to Cultio to secure relief for the planet as well as establish order in hopes of maintaining the supply chain for the system.. Between the lower output and dangerous quality of the food recently produced by Cultio, it was suspected signs of a much larger force were at play then simply a failure of the planet’s usually pristine production methods. The Imperium moved fast and hoped to provide relief in order to prevent further disarray for the system.

This relief would come in the form of manufactured preservatives and medicines to stop the quick decline of the planet, while a more permanent solution would be put into effect. Unfortunately a terrible and mysterious storm had made the intended drop zone near a food preservative plant very dangerous for imperium ships. The relief ships would have no choice but to drop the canisters from the upper atmosphere and rely on the elite units of Blood Angels to secure and bring the valuable contents back to the ruling body of the planet.

As the Blood Angels approached the designated drop zone, they took refuge from the deadly storm in some abandoned ruins to the south of the landing pad. However, they were not the only ones in the area. To the east of the landing pad, a band of Plague Marines could be seen moving amongst some of the industrial equipment that helped preserve the food from Cultio as it was transported to the rest of the system.

Turn 1
The small band of plague marines appeared to be heading in the storm, most likely relying on the past experiences of harsh climates and bolster resilience from Nurgle. The death company company was forced to evacuate the ruins as the storm became too harsh and potentially dangerous if they were to use their jump packs. However, the charge to get to the Plague Marines would be to deadly in the open fields that separated them.

Turn 2
The echoing boom of the first drop could be heard in the fields as the first canister penetrated the ruins. This missed drop provided a tricky situation of the death company. They could either go in and secure the canister right away hoping to weather the storm, or zone around it in hopes that reinforcements arrived to reliable kill their heretical brothers. They were not the only ones however that were expecting reinforcements. From the fields plaguebearers and nurglings began to emerge and what was once only a small squad of Death Guard became a much larger invasion force. Thankfully Sanguinary guards descended from the east, away from the storm in hopes of turning the tide.

Turn 3
As the storm continued to cover the battlefield from the west, a second canister could be seen descending from the atmosphere through the storm once again missing an easy retrieval for the Blood Angels. However it was still in the ruins that Sons of Sanguinius were holding. As the Blood Angels watched and strategized a Plaguecaster emerged from the now eroding Industrial machines. In an explosion of filth and flies several death company were overcome with decay and began a slow and painful death, as the plaggecaster unleashed a cloud of flies to obscure his position, The rest of the Death Guard and Nurgle forces continued their slow and methodical march to the landing pad and into the storm.

In reaction to watching their brothers decay before them the remainder of the Death Company fell back to rejoin with the Sanguinary Guard in hopes of regroup and mustering a counter offensive.

Turn 4
As the storm continued to rage over the battlefield, one of the canister finally landed at its intended target, the landing pad. However, the shambling march of the plaguebearers were prepared and were slowly climbing up the pad looking to destroy the beacon of hope the canister represented. The Death Guard and remaining forces of nurgle also waded into the storm not fearing it’s deadly effects. In response the blood angels gathered prepared themselves to enter into the storm to secure the two canisters located in the ruins.

Turn 5
The Storm became unbearable as the last canister was dropped into the battle zone, once again hitting it’s intended mark of the landing pad, which at this point was climbing with nurglings and plaguebearers. Maybe if the pilots had a clear line of sight they would have realized they were wasting the their efforts and only hurting the chances Cultio had. The Death Guard prepared themselves for a potential last minute counter offense from the Blood Angels, by positioning themselves between the landing pad and the ruins. The Blood Angels divided their forces; the weakened death company would secure the ruins and the supplies as the Sanguinary Guard would rush into the hordes of decaying flesh. They opened with volleys of bolter fire and streams of raging hot melta, yet the nurglings delighted in the pain being inflicted before being evaporated.

Conclusion:
The Blood Angels realized they had been unprepared for this conflict. Between not having a reliable way of breaking the nurgle line and the growing storm, they knew they could not win this battle of attrition. They took the relief canisters they could get their hands on and withdrew from the battle zone, as the forces of Nurgle continued to reinforce the area to prevent further aide for the growing plagues they hoped to inflict on the planet. However, the forces of the imperium now knew who they were dealing with; The Fecund Ones. It explained why the agri world was quickly in disarray between the poor crops and quickly spreading disease. The larger question remained however, how much of the system had been infected and what else did they have planned for the planet?

Winner: The Fecund Ones - Death Guard/Daemons of Nurgle

She Who Thirsts Interferes With the Great Devourer

While the Blood Angels and Death Guard battled to rid each other from Cultio Prime, a much different but equally important battle took place in one of the ruined cities of Cultio that the Death Guard had bombed. Scuttling through the debris was a Broodlord with a contingent of Genestealers and other smaller creatures of its hive fleet. Neither the Imperial forces nor the Death Guard had known there was a Genestealer Cult growing within the underground depths of the city. The Broodlord and his ilk were there to retrieve the biomass of these followers and gain vital intelligence for the smaller splinter fleet that was encroaching into the system. Its preference was to use the Cult to cause disarray and make easy prey of the planet before moving on but now that was impossible.

The Chaos God Slaanesh known as She Who Thirsts, The Dark Prince, Lord of Excess, had taken notice of the conflict on Cultio and was amused by it. The introduction of the Tyranids into the mix spelled a potential doom for his voyueristic fun and as luck would have it… the pleasure cults of Slaanesh had also infested this same city, each cult being unaware of the other. Deciding to take part in the fun, reality was rent open once again and out poured Daemons of Slaanesh, hordes of Daemonettes and a vanguard of chariots heralding the arrival of a champion of the Dark Prince in power metal falsetto, Nero - The Beguiler of Supplicants.

Prelude:

The initial stages of the conflict on Cultio were marked by plagues infecting crops and people alike, putting the planet on the cusp of a famine and in crisis. Soon after, the bombardment by the Fecund Ones fleet on Cultio began. While Famis’s Death Guard clashed with the 3rd Company of Blood Angels in the rural sectors of the planet, Hive Fleet <NAME> and Nero’s Cavalcade clashed in cities. The Hive Fleet was searching for remnants of a Genestealer Cult that had formed on the planet but had been consumed by the plagues introduced by the Death Guard. This intelligence will aid the Hive Mind in conquering the planet… while Nero’s Cavalcade were simply pouring through in the area where warp had opened, pouring forth and looking for any and all things to kill and paint themselves in their blood to herald the future arrival of Nero.

Set Up

Scouting out ahead of the main force in search of the Genestealer Cults, Hive Fleet <NAMES> Broodlord was accompanied by a Neurothrope. Meanwhile on the other side of the city, the warp had just torn open and the Daemons of Slaanesh were pouring out. A cavalcade of chariots and Daemonettes heralding the arrival of Nero.

Turn 1

The Broodlord and his accompanying Neurothrope begin scouting the city, ready to call in reinforcements with packs of Hormagaunts and Ripper Swarms and a surprise force of Genestealers following tunneling Raveners.

On the other side, tearing through into reality with a small contingent of Daemonettes supported by an Infernal Raptureness named Queen Diamond were the first to emerge. Pushing forward for they seeked out fresh kills and glory.

Turn 2

The Broodlord and the Neurothrope continued their journey through the city, confused by a dust storm that swept through the city from the ruined crops and soul. They Hive Mind, busy with its search and already aware of the other warp creatures infesting the planet for Nurgle did not notice the new reality warping force coming towards them, thus it did not call in any of its reinforcements, focused entirely on its mission.

The Exalted Herald of Nero - The Bliss-Giver streamed into reality atop her chariot followed by a second Hellflayer, three pet Fiends and larger contingent of Daemonettes. Seeing the Broodlord and Neurothrope, they moved as quickly as possible to engage and paint the city with their blood! Queen Diamond, seeing the shadows play in the ruins through the dust storm, strummed her harp and blasted an enormous piece off a ruin but missing the Broodlord.

Turn 3

Exiting the blinding dust storm the Broodlord finally spots the foe and calls in all his reinforcements except the Ripper Swarms, keeping them in reserve to capture the important gene-knowledge of the genestealer cultists. The Hormagaunts and Genestealers poured forth from hidden areas and swarmed over the speeding Hellflayer, Fiends, Daemonettes and The Bliss-Giver herself. With their diamond sharp claws, the Genestealers ripped apart the Hellflayer astride The Bliss-Giver and tore the Daemonette riders to shreds, the Seekers disappearing in a gory pop. The second half of the Genestealer unit severely wounded the Seekers carrying the Bliss-Givers chariot, slowing her down and making her less effective in combat but still capable.

In blinding speed the Daemons struck back against the Hormagaunts charging them before they were able to begin their attack, the supporting unit of Daemonettes piling into the fray and cutting a swathe of the Hormagaunts that left half their number dead and the Daemonettes lewdly dancing and screaming to the sky, covered in the enemies blood and entrails. Without losing a step or caring for their slain brethren, the Hormagaunts left ripped into the Fiends, mortally wounding one of the three but not quite killing it. They struck back, stampeding over the smaller creatures and killing them down to a last few.

Turn 4

The Broodlord was enraged to see his Genestealer brood being cut down by the Daemons, and with the support of the Neurothrope manifested psychic attacks that slammed into Bliss-Giver and Fiends supporting her. Gravely wounding Nero’s Herald and wiping out the Fiends. In a gurgling, insectoid scream he pounced atop Bliss-Givers chariot and they grappled, slashing and clawing at each other while Bliss-Giver continued to scream in a high pitch to announce the coming of Nero. The Broodlord nearly killed her, mortally wounding her but in one final strike, she lopped off the Broordlords head. Like a chicken with it’s head removed, the Broodlords body spasmed and continued to fight, slashing at Bliss-Giver and cutting her in half with a gory pop and suddenly there was silence.

The silence only lasted for a moment, as Queen Diamond and the healthy hordes of Daemonettes took up the singing and descended on what remained of the Tyranid forces, striking them from the battled in cacophonic explosions and a swirling melee of purple claws.

Conclusion: Without the information from the now dead Genestealer Cult on Cultio, Hive Fleet <NAME> must resort to brute force to take this world so it may move on to other systems. Out of the darkness at the edge of the solar system the mass of the Hive Fleet makes its presence known and descends upon Cultio, dropping masses of spores filled with the warriors of Hive Fleet <NAME> onto the planet to consume everything.

Winner: Nero’s Bliss-Giver Cavalcade - Daemons of Slaanesh

The daemons ran through the city, killing all in their path, including the cult of pleasure that had survived and summoned them as well as the Broodlord and his contingent. Wiping any hope for the Hive Mind of understanding the world it planned to consume next so it could move deeper toward the Solar Segmentum. Thus, while the daemons danced and screamed to the heavens about Nero and his imminent arrival… the mass of a hive fleet entered the edge of the system and made its way toward Cultio, intent on consuming everything.
