So I want to run Necrons at the Warhammer world GT. I'd like to try and make them work despite the known short comings.

The Pylon is in to punk knights - two unsaved wounds kills a Knight Dominus.

Three doomsdays Arks could be overkill given the presence of the pylon but are solid units and benefit greatly from the 5++ from the Pylons aura.

The destroyer lord is there to be annoying and hold things up, he's a real bitch to remove.

Shortcoming are potentially : Lack of command points, too much tied up an anti armour thus short on troops from objective grabbing.

I like the thought of Deathmarks popping on late game to grab objectives and considered removing the spearhead, putting the arks in the battalion and taking 160 points of Deathamrks instead. No re-rolls of 1 to hit then though (and one less command point)

Any suggestions ? I have everything at my disposal.

I wouldn't mess with the spearhead, I think Triple DDA should be an auto include for Necron players since the points drop. They're 100% worth it.

I wouldn't say your CP is particularly low, 9 seems fine for what you will need, I'm not as big a fan of scarabs as you are but they're useful.

I hope you punk some knights.

Scarabs are worth for low cost, fast flanking objective grabbers. They're also great for absorbing Mortal Wounds from Smite.
