I thought it was a pretty good season, in my opinion better than the first. Still wondering who the guy in the mirror is supposed to be.

Its a cute(?) show and interesting enough so far to watch with my partner. I like the little references in each episode and that so far they tied up the lines of season 1. Quite some effort has been put in, someone on Reddit that knew sign language wrote down what general Amaya signed during the show but me as a viewer had no idea. There are so many things that could go over your head, like the little references depending on your age.

As for the guy in the mirror, forgot the name, he is in the opening myth(?). Having seen season 2 I figure:
Spoiler:
He is the one who taught humans how to practice dark magic, to what end I don't know. But I figure as punishment he was locked in the mirror. The mirror was found in the dragon's den because what would be a better prison/safe than one guarded by fething dragons (I'm not sure if the dragons live near the lava, but if so that is a light source to permanently disable the mirror)? It seems he practises dark magic to contact Veren(?), based on how Claudia seems to involve a lot of props but the 'pure' magic just involves drawing a sign. So mirror guy is looking for a way out and I figure his deal is some kind of control the world scheme.

Small annoyance I do have is how it ends with Callum, its like really? That's all it takes and he is the only one so far who figured it out?

PS maybe its just me but having played Vermintide 2, Rayla sounds quite a bit like Kerillian. Maybe its just me

I like it a lot.

I'd call it a spiritual successor to Avatar: The Last Airbender (even has Sokka voicing one of the leads). If you liked ALA, then The Dragon Prince is worth a look.

Its made by the same guys who did avatar.

Also the mirror dude is voiced by the same guy that was koh the face stealer.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Totally thought Mirror dude was a mirror lady until he spoke. On the other hand, have we actually heard his voice? Maybe those were just the worm’s deep soothing tones.

Also you caught the part of him using all the elements there at the end, right? He’s the owner of the cube/key.

I totally thought it was a woman too at first. As for his voice, he monologues the opening myth(or whatever you would call it) no? The voices for that and mirror man are very similar.

As for the end part, yeah its the same as when Verren(?) tried to read up on him and the books just fall apart. Pieces of the puzzle screaming evil super wizard trapped in alternate dimension. Also, mirror man's skin tone seems to be much closer to Verren's true dark magic afflicted skin tone than any other elf shown, coincidence? Probably...?
