I'm glad I'm not getting into that faction. Not because it is lackluster, but the level of shenanigans required to pull it off reminds me of S&V more than anything.

The Energy Shell charges are going to give you a nice rythm of 2 dice, 3 dice, 2 dice, 3 dice, with nary a turn with a disarm token... like every other ship that can reload secondary weapons.

I can see the wall of buzz droid tokens from here. Why wouldn't you field 3 of those? And you can move through your own droids without harm? Great!

It's good to see they have the faction nailed down right away... rather than just give generalists and a "wait until later" attitude.

Has anyone seen the slots those ships get?

Do I see that the only u-turns they can do are at speeds 1 and 2?

I'm waiting to see how the bomber looks in the next wave.

Slots no, presumably missile and modification and maybe the tactical droid one (cant remember the proper name) and yes their only options to turn about are a 1k and 2 talon-rolls.
1w turns, 1r k.
2b turns, 2w banks, 2b forward, 2r t.
3w turns, 3r banks, 3b forward.
4b forward.
5w forward.

Its a really messy dial.

Flying in formation is out then, with that mess. Not that they did that in the movies, so that's all right.

I played Imperials the other day, and the only K-turns one of the Tie (Defender?) dials had were a white 4, or a red 2.
So, a good spread of maneuvers is a 1e thing, it seems. More variety is good too, though.

Aye, worth remembering that their configuration allows them to park on obstacles (asteroids?) with out suffering the consequences. Not sure how much use it will be but it should allow some versatility in allowing them to slingshot or stutter their movement. The Hyena from next wave can also throw devices when parked so that is going to open some interesting tactical options.

The buzz droids look like a real winner just for the no go zone that they can produce which may encourage people to keep at range, right where energy shells wants them... Calculation is a real weakness though as they have less survivability than a TIE/ln built in and that is compounded by no focus, makes one wonder how much they are going to cost because they must surely be cheaper than the cheapest ships in other factions (22pts?).

20 pts, or thereabout? Pity you can't field 10 in a competitive list.
